Iv just bought a 600w hps light kit, a scorpion fan 310/m3/h.... got 4 autos on tent atm just set up the hps as had cflto start with... spoke to the guy at the shop about the size of my twnt 90x90x160... he advised me to set the fan up next to the bulb and hoosd to suck the warnest air out... so done all this and my te t was gettin to 38c+ so set up a intake fan to blow cold air on bulb and thats o nly droped temp by 4c.. any advice

He told you right ... is your hood enclosed or open. If you already have the intake aitlr coming in low and at the coolest temp you can get and taking your air out the top then the only other way to get temps down much further is some type of pr table ac or an air cooled hood to contain and evac the warmest air around the bulb
