Photography Any Digital camera Nerds Out There?

I got a kodak 12mp and it's poor quality either that or I'm using the wrong settings combined with crap lighting. Any suggestions folks? What is the best ISO to use?? I'm also looking for a new digital camera to take HD quality pics. Does anybody know of any decent cameras that I could get?

Hey V, the best ISO to use is the lowest number you can, it makes the picture less grainy. I have mine set at 64 on my FujiFilm FinePix S1730. this camera is very good crossover camera and quite cheap also it even records HD movies, the only down side to the movie camera is that it's auto focus.

Thanks for sharing that Hazy. Thats the second person to suggest fuji camera's. The prices seem quite reasonable on ebay too

I've been fairly happy with Sony Cybershots although the newer ones seem fairly cheaply made they take good pictures for a point and shoot.

I just use the camera on my phone seeing as thats the thing I always have on me. Think its a 10mp and does an ok job. After xmas and the sales hit im probably gonna treat myself to a nikon slr
