So guys it turns out that i have a Spider mite infestation in my closet grow room
2 questions

How do i kill em all? without affecting the smokable bud
Are the spider mites a threat to me or my clothes since they live in my grow closet?
Will they start attacking me after i smoke the plant or they will die.

For the mean time i sprayed with alcohol and it seems to fuck them up.
But they keep coming, Monday morning ill get a potent miticide and spray the fuck out of them!!!! in the mean time ill keep them busy with cold alcohol and water spray!!!

abbot i think its called but you have to wait 2 weeks until its safe to harvest

lady bug are pointless with hids id rather use predator mites but neither fully shift the problem
lady bugs dont really like to eat mites

theyve been effectiv for me... although Ill admit I lose a lot to the lights and heat... but they have stopped infections twice for me.... predator mites might be a better option for it...

early in the cycle... neem + dr bronners works well...

theres also a product called liquid lady bug... havent tried it yet but I have heard it works... :toke:

I make an effort to prevent those nasty f###ers from getting a foot hold....I keep a Hot Shot No-Pest strip in my grow tent....take it out about a week or 2 before harvest .....
They also work on a current infestation.....once ya get'em, they are tough to deal with .

I use SMC and it's working like a charm (spidermitecontrol.com). It's to be used during veg because it's an oil and it will ruin any flowers with mold.

i've only had a light infestation, but i've been discussing this with some other folks recently..

WATER IS YOUR FRIEND

mites love hot, dry conditions. i've seen people use every kind of shit you can use on them, and it seems like the best solution is the simplest.

mist your plants. all the time. make sure you get the underside.

if you've got a small garden, manually wipe the bottom of your leaves.

generally people recommend azamax, but if you like something more down to earth, use lavender.

someone recommended a lavender tea.. steeped flower heads, 10 parts water. add a bit of soap.

i've used lavender oil instead and it will play hell with your plants, so if you use lav oil, make sure you mix it well (like overnight) and use a light application. but misting and manual removal worked for me. no mites for 2+ weeks now.

i think we won

so it seems that the mites prefer the younger plant that has not yet flowered....
so i removed it from the grow room and isolated in the balcony
And i will not put back in the grow room before i dip it head to toe in neem oil.

Now i have sprayed with alcohol solution and misted the plants several times after seeing them reappear i got BALLISTIC AND STARTED SQUISHING THESE FUCKERS AT SIGHT!!!! A friend of mine who is an experienced indoor grower told me to just terminate the whole op stop the contamination and re- initiate but my plant has like 2 weeks to harvest and im not seeing any mites on it at the moment. My only fear in that they are in the buds shiting and eating my buds.... But i looked with a magnifying glass and there is no mites around them and no sighn of them at the leaves. I very well think that i won this battle.

alcohol destroys resin

your mate is right plus they prefer sat dom plants. My mate has the same issues so im running some mite resistant varietys for him (jorges diamonds :) and satori) photo strains
