So I thought I would share my current endeavour with you all. It's day 22 since sprouting these AK 48 Auto seeds from Nirvana. I had planted 5, all 5 popped. On day 2 however, I found 1 laying on it's side, out of the ground with no roots :( I immediately removed the container it was in and dumped it out in the outside garden. Anyways, stuff happens. I'm using 8 liter root pouch's and the growing medium is just a mix of vermicompost, carbonized rice hulls and perlite sourced locally and cheap, straight from the producer. I am however using the General Organics line of notes at half strength, a word of caution tho....that BioMarine processed squid really stinks, but the girls seem to like it. They are under a Mars Hydro 300-96x3 LED at 18" above the canopy (or thereabouts) on an 18-6 schedule with just the grow lights so far. They are starting to show pre flowers, so I will most likely add the bloom lights in a few more days. This is the second grow under this light and it has performed well and no problems to report.

A few things I will share about these 4 girls....the one on the left in back is showing more sativa dominance, while the other 3 look more Indica. The one on the left in front is the shortest of the bunch, but damn does she ever reek like a skunk!!! The other 3 are pretty much neutral in the smell department thus far, although the sativa looking one in the back has a faint spicy, fruity sort of smell, might even say a pleasant aroma. I am running a 3 speed CanFan air mover & CanFan Filter set up.....quiet and very efficient.

Oh and I just soaked the seeds overnight in a cup of lukewarm water with a drop of Superthrive and direct seeded the next morning. I feed them once a week by mixing half strength into one gallon of purified water plus a little Superthrive then dividing it equally among them. That's about it, nothing too complicated. The Hydroton on top is just to help keep the mess to a minimum and to help with moisture retention.

They look very happy and healthy
Ya, they seem to be doing well. I just topped that sativa looking girl just above the 3rd node. I know, I know...shouldn't top auto's...but damn this one was like entering a thoroughbred in a pony race. I could have just LST'd a bit, but it's just fun for me anyway, curious to see the end result :)

Have they all shown sex yet? I got two going now that didn't auto. They're huge but they're screwing up my auto rotation.

Two plants pretty much fill a 6.5'x6.5' tent. Good luck on yours I'll be following

Hi Stepside, yes, as of this morning.....all 4 are baby girls. I have heard of at least one other grower trying this strain and failed to auto. Could be any number of reasons I suppose....lighting, stress, environment, genetics not fully stabilised yet. We could try to narrow it down by sharing what we are doing. I'm running LED's at half power (maybe 100 watts), on average 18" above the canopy 18/6. My planting medium is just a mix of locally sourced vermicompost and perlite 8L root pouches. Nutes are just General Organics at half strength with a drop or two of SuperThrive. Daytime air temps normally between 78-82 F, a little cooler at night, RH normally averages somewhere in the 60-65 range. I try to keep things simple and relatively low stress.....getting too damn old to have things any other way :)

Well, here we are at day 34 and thought I would share an update. 3 of the 4 have auto flowered, while one is dragging her heels (in the foreground on the right). She did show sex and pre-flowers as of 10 days ago, but seems to have stalled. She looks healthy and happy as do the others (including the one I topped to slow her down a bit) (back right). So I'm curious as to what the issue is on the stalling is all about....just a phenotype? strain isn't quite fully stabilised yet? Everything is identical, medium, nute application, lighting, etc. She does look more Indica than the others, but here's the kicker....other than a very faint chlorophyll scent, nothing in the smell department. The 2 in the back have a light sort of spicy fruity sort of smell while the one on left in front is getting pretty skunky. I will give the late bloomer a few more days to shift gears and if she doesn't I might change the lights to 16/8 and see if that gets her motivated. Opinions and ideas are welcomed

Oh and I also LST'd the one I topped to further limit her vertical shooting for the moon growth....and the one I'm holding is little miss late bloomer :)

I'm got some, five, of the same goin !! Mine are about 35 days, and look much Like yours, except I lst'd, so the are a bit different in form.

Anyway, I will get some picks up if you'd like to

Looking good, nice work

Hi Richard, and thanks. I don't normally top auto's, so this was an isolated exception as her growth rate was just leaps and bounds above the others. It's turning out just fine tho, she's still rockin' and hasn't missed a beat. No topping or LST on the other 3 tho, kinda curious how they turn out naturally compared to the one I topped and LST'd. They are at the halfway point now, so I guess I should snap off a few more pics to update.

So, since the girls are at the halfway/45 day mark I thought I might share an update....the one in the back left is packing on the bud, while the one in the back right (the one I topped and LST'd is also) , but a little harder to see. The two in the front are the laggards, especially the one on the right (just finally finished her stretch) and started bud production. Looks like it will be one at a time harvest scenario :) one pic is just to give an idea of my grow area...the little fan on the stool will be replaced next week with a tower fan, a little pricey, but energy efficient and very good air circulation.
