Been reading about airpots. Anyone using them? Wondering if they are anything special or just a gimmick?

I use (4) 2 gallon and (2) of the 32ozers. I like them very much. Reusable, Better drainage, Easy Storage. I believe they are recycled from milk cartons or something. GO GREEN! Environment Friendly:bong:

Lots of people here using them and doing well with them.I haven't bought any yet but do use smartpots-they both do the same thing-airprune the roots which promote good growth. I tried a diy version of the airpot and drilled a ton of holes in a 32oz. wonton container and the pineapple auto i got in it is doing great. If the real thing works like that i'd say buy a few.

I wouldn't be caught dead using anything but Airpots and Smart pots. I bought my airpots some time ago so I still use them but have migrated to smart pots...more square. Doing yourself a disservice if you aren't using them. Check out my grow. 1 gallon airpots 27inch by 24 inch plants. They grow much bigger, more air to the roots, and virtually impossible to over water.

No matter what kind of pot you use when you remove it to trash it you'll notice on any plant cannabis or a rubber tree the roots are thick noticeable and growing up the sides etc. Take apart a airpot and you can hardly see the roots. The roots get air pruned then along the roots inside they shoot off.

The only downfall is do to the increased surface air exposure they dry out faster. Im watering my Autos everyday now...a couple weeks out from harvest.

I have done very well with my air pots. I use the .8 gallon and the 1.5 gallon and 2.5 gallon air pots. THey are so much easier to flush with and really arent too bad when watering but you have water a little slow or they can leak out the sides a little some times.

I agree with all of the above. I'm using 0.3 gal, 0.8 gal, and 1.5 gal Air-Pots. Very noticeable increase in growth in these compared to every other pot I've used. I've never used smart pots, though, and everyone has great things to say about those as well. I'm sold that it's not a gimmick. Proof is in the puddin'. :smokebuds:

Just started my 1st airpot grow, germinated directly into a 2.4 Gal airpot whose soil had been throughly watered prior to planting, here she is at 11 days under (2) 26w CFL's and the 90w Haight LED. It is important that when using airpots that the solid end goes up (the end with no holes), it creates a water dam so that proper watering can take place, if you put it together the other way the water will just run out of the holes where the soil ends.
