Hi

Im using liquid silicon ( Cheap silicon from local shop)

Iv noticed that its possibly making my PH very high and in turn making my pot trays very salty.

Iv read up on the Silicon makers website and its seems people use this type of silicon to up their PH?

Is there another silicon I can use that doesn't effect the PH and stop the salts building up?

Am i right in saying that rhino skin from AN has some sort of PH Balance in it to stop this problem? Hence why this is far more expensive?

Can anybody recommend the best silicon to us?

Thanks in advance

First SILICA product I used was General Hydroponics ArmorSi. It made my PH raise through the roof as stated on the bottle. I didn't have a problem with it but when I ran out I picked up a bottle of Botanicare's Silica Blast. It seems to not raise PH nearly as much.

Just my 2cents.....keep the change.

I use GHE Urtica for Si. It works very good. I use it from the seedling stage until I stop feeding plants other than water. As well I use it for foilar feeding vegging plants.
