So I've been thinking....I know a lot of people like to aerate the water with air stones to add oxygen so i was wondering if some added carbonated water to there water mix if it would benefit.

The carbonated water contains Co2? The air stone thingy increases o2 and stablilzes PH as well. I dont think it would be enough co2 to really do anyting since I belive that co2 is absobed by the leaves and not the roots?

now theres an idea...mist the leaf with fizzy water
i wonder if that would help growth rate
especially in early veg....you already do a lot
of misting anyway

ya roots dont like co2 but they love o2 so thats why ppl use airstones in their res, i use a co2 (carbonated water) water to spray evry other day so the leaves can get the co2in the water and it helps with pests they dont like co2 water. also co2 water dries quickly so if you want to use it towards the end of flowering you can without the worry of mold and rot, just spray it on with the fans off for bout a hr then turn them back on to dry up what the plants dont use. but again this is just my:2cents::bong:

Ok so what if you took the carbon out of the water? say by shaking and releasing the built up air until its "flat"

Yeah i've seen a lot of people foiler feed with carbonated water to give them small amount of co2...but i hear you shouldn't do this to the once that are in mid/late flowering for the molder and powder mold issues that happen.

i only spray once evry other day. if you have great airflow you dont need to worry about c02. but if you have a small area and you really want co2 for your grow you might want to look into the co2 bucket. it will last around 3 months then instead of buying another bucket use the same one just make your own co2 out of yeast, sugar, and vinager. but this is just my :2cents::bong:

oh ya i do stop spraying once i start my preharvest. but im with my plants about evryday checking them so that maybe why i dont get mold :bong:

This would be pointless. That buildup of air is the CO2, that's what you want to give to your plants (above soil, not to the roots). If you remove it, you have water with a much of minerals in it (if using mineral water). If using water with CO2 added (whether store-bought or homemade), well you just went back to plain water and wasted your time & money.
Not making fun of you or giving you a hard time - just trying to keep you from wasting your time & money.

makes since. thanks...

you might want to look into the co2 bucket.

I've heard and read that these are pointless and don't actually provide enough co2 to efficiently support your plants.

ive heard bad and good from the c02 bucket, for large grow rooms no they are not worth it, they dont make enough co2 to cover a large grow room. but if you have a small space and can have the fans off and let the temps raise a lil the bucket woorks fine. the co2 ppm is 300 outside on a average day, now with a burner or tank in a big room with like 25 to 50 plants you want to crank the ppms to 1500 for 20 minutes to a hour to have any affect. now the bucket can bring say like a closet or a small room that holds like 4 to 12 plants it can get the ppms up to about 1200 for about 45mins but in a small area you only need that once a day if that. in a large room you would have to have your times set for three or more times a day. so heres my :2cents: if you want co2 for your plants you have to way out the pros and cons and if you have the space, the the dehumidifier, the timers, and the time to dial co2 in your grow, you cant just throw co2 in next to your plants and hope for the best co2 is for the advanced growers who are looking to making the perfect growroom.
