The IMALENT MS18 Ambassador of Light is officially the world’s brightest flashlight

Who’s crazy enough to do a small run with this?
Can’t seem to find the color temp of the light, but I’m sure it would grow something. Seems like it gets super hot so I wonder if that may be a problem or not even with its heat sink & 2 fans!

@Dreminem169 :pop:Well it is your idea!
True, but for $670 I’d rather get 18 pieces of American CREE XHP70, A heat sink, & driver. I’m just not experienced in building leds so I would need help picking out a driver & wiring.

I noticed they sent some YouTube’ers & IG’ers some to test out, so I just reached out to them to see if they would be interested in me showing off their light on here to grow a plant as more of a WOW type factor. Seems like it would be good marketing for them?

Battery life could be a challenge.
Yea, I was thinking maybe some how it could be macgyver’ed to a car battery or possibly just wired straight into 120v (if possible) but I’m no electrician so I would need to read up on it & probably get some help

I'm sure that you could rig something up to supply power without changing batteries, you'll just need a DC power source at the right voltage.

However, the next issue is whether the flashlight will actually operate continuously without overheating anything, and I'd say that is a real question. For sure, the unit is designed for intermittent use, perhaps especially at high output. I would be surprised if it will be happy being used at high power for more than 12 hours continuously. The company may be able to advise on this.

They will likely frame your question and hang it on the wall. I doubt that they have been asked whether their light would work as a grow light before. :pighug: :goodluck:

Yea, hopefully it gets enough attention over at their company to send me one to show off on here:rofl:

The likelihood of the flashlight surviving 18hrs of continued use, day in day out. Seems like a massive ask. It would be interesting to see if its possible, but also totally pointless :crying:
