I am considering making elevated benches for both my 3x3 and 2x4 Gorilla Tents. They are tall so I have room.

I'll place my humidifiers and dehumidifiers under the benches as needed.

The organic soil plants would be in their own individual drip trays. And the table top would porous to allow air flow. (See pic).

My question is I've read never to use wood in the tent and why is that? Moisture absorbtion?

I'd fabricate the table out of wood.

Thanks for any advice.

I Personally would build the Table out of 1” Double walled PVC and toss in a Couple T’s to Run a Few Cross Braces to Tighten it up every ft or so. Would be a lot lighter and easier on the tent then Wood.

I've been in landscape and I've never heard of double walled? Do you mean Schedule 80 pipe?

Yes my Brain is Stuck on the Venting I purchased for my wood Fireplace Yesterday. Schedule 80 is exactly what I meant

My only concern about PVC would be flexibility under the weight of 5 gal soil containers.

I have a 16" tall 46x46 wood table with a flood tray on it in my 4x4. I keep my heater and runoff pump underneath it. Just paint the table with anti mold paint. I've had no issues in the couple of years I've had it like that
