New Grower A f6 first! 3 soil autos under T5

Hey there chums!

Thought I would chill with the new growers this round as my soil experience is limited to 2 outdoor photos that needed to be rescued from Mrs f6



Summer is on the way in my part of the world and due to recent.. ahem.. security issues I am not able to run with my usual HID hydro grows.

So here we grow!

Last of my seed stock, Mephisto's and more in the new year!

Strains:
2x Stiches Love Potion
1x Barneys Farm Malana Bomb

Medium:
10lt pots
50% Debco Organic soil
40% Perlite
10% clay balls
Sprinkle of DE granules on surface

Feeding:
Great White Mycorrhizae (roots)
FloraNova range
Floralicious Plus (humic)
NF Bud Burst (kelp)
Sensi BioDiesel (guano)
@opticfoliar Overgrow (foliar)

Lighting:
110w T5 @ 20/4
May add some COB's or move to my tent and 860w CMH when possible.


The story so far!

Seeds placed in soaked jiffys, humidi dome, on heat mat with tea towl, LED desk light.

25/10/17
Breaking ground, each plug 5mls plain water.

28/10/17
Potted and under T5 @ 20/4, 500mls plain water + Great White Mycorrhizae

30/10/17
1ltr plain water

01/11/17 (today!)
FloraNova Grow @ 400 EC, 1litre, 6.0ph

The ladies received 500ml of plain water today, curbing back the amount of water now I have a read on drainage which is good!

Will feed in 1 week interval until I feel they need more. Everything very good but temps low.


Will up on feed day!

Its interesting how light lime green T5 plants always seem to be! I notice the same when i start outdoor plants under the t5's

Yep, have noticed that also! Haven't used this light for a few grows, been going strait to 600w MH.

T5 not to bad, punchy @ only 110w for seedling, seems to help set structure.

I need more light but limited options currently :/

Ladies have received 500ml of fish water which is reading 380 EC which I know is almost all Nitrate (No3)

New growth!

Last few days they have bulked a bit, weather has been ideal!

Digged a bit of stuff about nitrogen..

Seems FloraNova has ammonia (NH3) and nitrite (N02-)

My fishtank bio filter converts everything to Nitrate (N03-)

I have a feeling I read somewhere that canna doesn't like N03- in bloom(?)

I can attest that N in bloom not ideal, what kind of N? Not sure.

Very happy with using fish water tho, and seems positive, at least in veg!
