im at 8 weeks with 2 white widow autoflowers. i planted 4 other photo's 4 weeks ago, and planned to let them veg until the auto's were done. problem is, they are ALL at least 3' tall right now, and im running out of room very quickly. I even topped my skunk haze to try to slow its growth, and that thing shot back 2 colas bigger than any of my others

they are on 18/6 under 600w MH, using earth juice nutes, PH stable at 6.5. autos look BEAUTIFUL, are green as can be, and leaves bigger than my hands. but very, very few pistils.

do i switch them to 12/12 and force flower now under hps? if so, what type of growth am i looking at with them being 3' and 8 weeks of veg?

Hey UserName

From what you've posted, they're not autoflowers.

Best to change the light schedule to 12/12

Which breeder did they come from if you don't mind me asking?

they are pyramid seeds, autoflowering feminised white widow. purchased from herbies 3-4 months ago.

now that i think, this would be the 3rd pyramid strain im having trouble with. i did 2 last grow on a photo schedule, and came up with around 3/4z from each girl. BUT, they were totally different strains, no way in hell they were both WW. the look, smell and taste were no where near close.....maybe its time to stay away from pyramid?

The different smell, taste and structure could be due to different phenos. You should shoot them an email, telling them about your problem. See if they're willing to do something about it

The seeds could possibly have been a mix up, or it could be an old batch

so your telling me they can still be the same strain, yet be totally different like that? forgive the ignorance, but im no where near as educated as many of you. ive got several good grows under my belt now, but there is still so much more to freaking learn here.

im going to have a problem i think with one of the auto's. its only in a 3g pot, since it was never intended to veg for 8 weeks. i cant see that thing not becoming root bound now with as large as it is.

My 1 grow was pyramid auto white widow

High Username. Merry Christmas.
At this point 12/12 won't hurt for a bit. You will know pretty quick if you got only feminized in place of auto. When it happened to me, from another source, I probably had the longest preflower in history. I'd still be waiting if Chester had not suggested the same 12/12. It worked. The delay did effect the yield but the smoke was fine.

It was a bit humiliating to be duped by a plant.:face:

there is really no more than maybe 10 pistils showing on either "AF" plant. so looks like 12/12 it is! hopefully these puppies will start to flower in short order now

It's okay we all start from somewhere. Plants will be different if starting from seeds, unless it's a clone you're really not sure what you're getting.

You could always transplant the plant that didnt auto give it another couple of days to recover from the transplant than put it in 12/12

wouldent that be real risky to attempt a transplant on a 2 month old girl? then again, i suppose so is leaving in in a small pot. so which is the lesser of the evils?
