A good 6" exhaust fan with variable speed control and quiet?

I've got one of these and it's fine. Just looking for other suggestions that maybe are comparable but not so costly.

I've got a ac infinity CLOUDLINE S6, Quiet 6” Inline Duct Fan with Speed Controller.. I'm very happy with mine but costs differ in the USA there a lot cheaper than the UK I believe

I like the remote app control on these.

I've got the one with the speed controller but I've just bought there temp and humidity controller as an add one to try automate things a bit but I can say quality wise they make awesome products

I've used the Vortex (VTX series) brand from the very beginning. I connect it to a variac controller, which has many increments to choose from.

Another vote for the AC infinity series of fans. I run a 6" on a 5x5 tent with LEDS. I bought the S series which I believe is their cheapest option, and hooked it up to the 67 controller. The 67 controller is really the next step in automation from them. In my current configuration I can set upper and lower fan speed limits as well as triggers for temp and humidity. It's not a perfect set up but it is very nice for all the more it costs. I have my upper fan limit set to 50% and it more than adequately exchanges air in my space through a carbon filter.

I would however advise spending the extra money on the 69 WIFI controller. I am waiting for them to be in stock to purchase one as they are brand new. The 69 does everything the 67 does and more. I believe it can control up to 4 AC infinity devices on separate programs AND hooks to wifi. The downside of the 67 controller is it only has bluetooth access. The cost is double (49.99 base for 67, 99.99 for 69 WIFI) but I believe it is well worth the cost for the added features.

All that said, I have an identical 4" fan from spiderfarmer. They look the exact same but smaller. It produces noticeably more noise even at a low setting, and the noise is very high pitched. It's extremely annoying and if noise is of concern I would watch closely which type of fan you purchase as all are not created equal, although visually they may look similar.

I'm thinking a 4" system is a better size for a 2x4 but maybe a 6" wouldn't have to run as hard and be quieter?

Quiet is important to me.

on the 69 controllers, I have the Bluetooth you can even control their oscillating fans that's what made me buy that over the 67 as you can do 4 products on the 69 anyhow shred good luck on ya next upgrades hopefully over the holidays you may get a discount and I love those

I have my 67 controller (having wifi on the 69 is legit though) automating the 6" fan for my 5x5. It's set to run at 2 speed always and if the temp or RH gets too high, it ramps up to 4 speed. You can set this to whatever you need in the app or on the controller itself (up to 10 speed). Very quiet at those speeds for sure.

I didn't explain well enough. I don't use the 4" fan for my 5x5 tent. I purchased it for a 4x2 tent, and never used it due to its noise.

The spiderfarmer fan, on level one, not hooked to anything can be herd from the next room. It's a odd, high frequency noise. Where as my 6" AC infinity fan is completely silent, except for where the fan discharges because of the air turbulence.

I really feel its just something wrong with the spiderfarmer fan. Maybe I have a bad one? I am not willing to risk buying another one, especially with how good all my AC infinity products have been.
