Basically the title, what size intake and out take fan+carbon filter should I use for a 4x8 grow room powered with led lights

Should I go 8" 710cfm intake and out take fans along with a 750cfm carbon filter, or 6" 315cfm.
More questions, does my carbon filters cfm need to be matching to the fan or should it be higher or lower?
I'm just a bit worried this time, because last time I bought a horrible system from ebay and it didnt work. Just being careful.

I would go with an 8 inch fan and filter for extraction. A 6 inch would probably meet your specification. But a carbon filter reduces the efficiency of the fan.
You dont have to use an intake fan at all, some growers believe that negative pressure helps canna grow better. But in the hot months it could help keep the tent cooler- if your venting from a room cooler than the tent obviously

So I should just use 8inch extractor fan with no intake fan? Does that mean I should leave vents open?

Its really up to you mate. You can do it either way. Google passive air intake and youll hear what other growers think
Would running a 710cfm 8inch extractor fan with a 750cfm carbon filter still scrub the air if its turned on half speed with a speed controller?

I run my fans/filters through a Variac controller and probably use "half speed" more than any other speed. Get 8 inch products and you will be good to go.
