New Grower 400W or 600W?

Hey everyone, looking for some opinions on weather to go with a 400W HPS/MH grow light or a 600W HPS/MH grow light.

My setup will be a 4'x4'x7 1/2' Grow Tent with 3-6 plants growing at the same time.

Saving on the electric bill for this first grow would be nice (also running a small space heater inside the tent) but not really needed. I just need to know if I can get away with the 400W and if the 600W would really yeild me that much more to justify going with the higher wattage. Thanks for any help ahead of time!

First off you wont save with hid light in General. 600 all day might as well you'll get better yeild. If you wanna save money on electric you have to spend money on led.

You're bill is not gonna be much different going with the 600, I'd go with that one, and a dimmable ballast, although I hear awesome things about the de cmh.

Cool. I assumed there would be a noticable difference in energy usage by the higher wattage but if not I will stick to the 600W Vivosun. I believe you pointed me in the direction of that specific light from my other thread. Thanks for the help again man!

A 315 watt cmh for a 3x3 would be perfect for flower.

Thanks Gator. If it's not much difference then I will definetly stick to the 600W. I'm sure with the extra yeild it provides, I can pay whatever price difference between the two lights anyways lol.

Get the air cooled one its like 10 bucks more than the cool tube but has a better light foit print.

That's really not bad at all. Totaly justifiable for my situation.

General rule is 1w=1g of bud, so more light - better yield. I would go for CMH or dual arc with very good reflector. Hortilux, Solis Tek, Ushio, Genesis, Apollo, Philips.
