Hey guys - I'm doing my third grow ever, and this is my first ever photoperiod grow. I'm a legal medical patient in my state and grow only for myself.

So I'm having big problems with a kosher kush. I started this plant plus a purple wreck from seed 5 weeks ago.

The kosher just looks like crap. It is always droopy like the photos show. I am 99% sure its not over watering as I wait 3-4 days between watering and the soil is very dry by the time I water. The leaves look nice and green and healthy they are just so droopy.

The kosher was topped and tied down 2 weeks ago and is just now showing the new tops. Its responded well to the lst but seems to be taking forever to push out new tops.

Here is info about my grow setup:

60% happy frog 40% perlite + dolomite lime
2.2 gallon airpots
200w solarflare led + 150w HP's
2x2x5 tent
125cfm exhaust fan & scrubber
Humidifier and small fan
Lights on 78-82 lights off 62-65

Nutes used:
Flora duo a&b - every 2nd watering starting at week 4
Floralicious plus - every watering
Florablend - every 2nd watering
CaliMagic (cal mag) - every 2nd watering
AN Rhino skin (silica) - every watering
RapidStart - every 2nd watering

I'll add koolbloom and botanicare sweet once in flowering

So I've done everything exactly the same with both plants and I just can't figure out what is going on with the kosher. The purple wreck looks amazing and like its ready to flower but i don't want to put the kosher into flower since it looks like garbage. Any ideas?

It could be many things. To much fertilizer=flush and hold back on nutes. Over watering==let it dry out between waterings,To dry==make sure entire pot is moist, lights to close==move lights farther away.Try and check for these problems,it could be one or more of what I listed.

Hey vet - thanks for your input. So here's what I can share based on your ideas:

1. Too much water - I've been going every 3 to 4 days with both plants, alternating nutes and plain water. I don't think it's over watered as the pots feel pretty light when I pick them up for watering
2. Too much nutes - so these have only had 3 feedings in total, starting at 1/2 strength. I do use mild additives in my non nute water though, floralicious plus and sometimes calmag and/or silica. These have zero or minimal npk ratings.
3. Light too close - this could be an issue, though my "hand test" seems fine and not too hot. Lights around 16" from plant tops.
4. Not enough water - maybe this is it, though that pic is from around 24 hours after her last watering. Soil is still pretty wet and she's had time to drink some.

Something else I noticed. The purple wreck has roots shooting out the bottom of the airport, like 20-30 of them. The kosher has just 1 root showing through the bottom. Do I maybe have root issues?

Again, the plants have both been treated identically... Same waterings, feedings (I mix up and ph a single gallon jug of water and use this to water both, they get literally the same water), lighting, environment... Everything has been the same. But the purple looks amazing and the kosher has just never looked quite right. Could it just be a dud seed?

They look healthy. The only thing I can come up with is to much light if your running both LED and HPS .Iwould either raise them ot just go with one light foir awhile.Have you seen any flower pistols yet?

Could be too much light... I'll try switching the hps off and see if she perks up. I honestly put it in there because the tent was a little cold with just the led.

No signs of sex yet on either, but since they're photo period and not autos I shouldn't expect that until I put them into flower, right?

Right 12/12..could be nutes though ..some strains dont like nutes ..I would try some molasses in her she if she gets happy..then again she may just push out of it..I have had ugly plants still push up allot of bud:pighug:Doesn't look that much shorter then the other one...Namvet25 may be right..hes way more pro then me :tiphat:

Hey thanks for chiming in! They are actually about the same height, the kosher is probably a little taller. She is tied down at a 90* angle and topped... I heard this strain stretches like the dickens.

So I'll try the molasses. Just 1-2 tablespoons in a gallon of water? Anything else? I'll set the ph of course. This will be in 2-3 days, once they're ready for water.

Well i grow Kosher for a long time now and u have to be sensitive with the fertilizers. I dont give mine any Ferts till week 3 of Flower Stage. No Nutes during the Vegetive State. So far it runs gd on them with this Schedule. And to the Stretch depends on the Pheno the Jew Gold cut really Stretches like mad.
