So my buddy and I decided to start the same strain at the same time in the same size pot with the same base mix and see what we could harvest. We have very different styles, it was more just to see two different out comes. His popped 24hrs before mine and 72 hours layer mine started taking over. The rest of the grow can be found HERE.

Okay so clearly something is wrong. Both of these were started in the same soil, same size pot, and were started in the exact same day. Mine had some Down To Earth Bio Live and Bio Fish mixed in (as directed by volume) as well as some basalt and glacial rock dust. They both soaked in water for a day, then went into soil on the same day. I soaked my pot before planting and used a spray bottle to keep the area moist through germ. My buddy watered in 50mL a day. He just recently started to water more heavily. These are day 9 pictures. He is just using a small Canagrow led grow bulb, 12" over and I am using my closet grow light, at something 26" over. My plant has received a few tablespoons of whatever my Daiquiri Limes get, and some AgSil & freeze dried coconut... Kind of just whatever is going around. His has received water only. He was watering with RO, and switched to tap once the plant started yellowing. What do you guys think?

To me the bottom pic (Pamela) looks over watered, and hungry. What PH are Pamela’s waterings? There should be some nutes in the soil to sustain a seedling without needing to add any separately, so I’d suggest a ph issue locking out uptake, that or due to overwatering the roots can’t access any oxygen and are smothered, maybe even stunted root growth, which could cause them to stop taking up nutes too

Im right there with you. Looks overwatered, but he reassures me it was only getting like an oz a day. Looks nutrient deficient but obviously there should be enough going on in the seed & soil to get the girl through past day 10... I had wondered if it could be pH, but he doesnt know the pH of his water nor does he have the means to test it. This isn't the first time something like this has happened for him.

I’d still say an oz of water a day could be too much, and it looks a lot wetter than that in the pictures. Also is he watering around the plant, away from the stem to encourage the roots to spread and seek out the moisture? If he’s just watering directly around the base of the stem then the roots don’t need to grow outwards to find water, the young roots will just be sitting in damp soil all the time. As seedlings I water maybe once every 2 or 3 days, with maybe 5-10ml of fresh, ph’d water

I'll pass the info along to him, he's not one to visit forums, but I provided the link all the same. Guess we wil have to see how it goes. I appreciate your feedback.
