2x 125 watt cfl

•2x 125 watt cfl hydrofarm Argobrite 6500k veg 2700k for flower.
•1 gallon smart pots
•Soil half royal gold mendo ,half fox farm ocean forest
• Fox Farm trio nutes ( if needed)
•2x Royal Dwarf auto
• 2x computer fans

This is a small micro cabinet grow. Looking to see what i can achieve on CFLs and good seeds before buying a 2x2 tent with leds ( thinking VIPARSPECTRA 300w for second grow) this cabinet is not currently tall enough for LEDs hence why am doing the CFL‘s. I’ve done tons of reading and I have only come across a couple of CFL Grows almost all seem to be using common household CFL‘s and not these grow light CFLs .
I am only using 1 gallon pots for this grow to help limit plant height . I plan on lst both plants early on. If I have to use nutrients I don’t plan on starting until after four weeks and I will only start with 1/8 strength. Anything stronger than 1/8 will probably burn the piss out of these autos.

Typically I have doneDWC buckets with 400watt HPS lights in a 4x4 tent. I had great results with that no issues, but I no longer have the space to do something on that scale. I’m really hoping for a decent outcome looking to get two oz per plant dry. This is probably wishful thinking only using 1 gallon pots. If this doesn’t yield what I need then I’ll just use the cabinet to sprout and veg in before transferring into an led tent for flower.

lights cfl/led have come a long way,so to have autos they can take more abuse nowadays and 1/2 strenght shouldnt bother them too much

Do you think they could still take 1/2 strength using CFLs?

hey @Pepperjack420 and to afn! jus my 2 ctz, but me don't think that'll be enuff light for two plantz...now, don't get me wrong, autoz would grow under a fuckin nitelight if ya let em, lol, but with cfl'z, or at least the reg pigtail kind, i'd recommend 4x 100w per plant...and ya, me thinkz 2 oz per is a bit high of an expectation, lol, but then again, anything is possible! again, jus me own 2 ctz in the bucket

I’ve been skeptical of how well they will do. I might end up using it for seeding and veg worst case.

whats an 1/8th of 0.5ml ? the old advice of start 1/4 feed is good advice for a first timer or first time growing a strain.but if they look a bit hungry at week 3 dont be scared of bumping the feed up
autos have come on leaps and bounds last few years,some strains can take all you can throw at them.

One seed has sprouted nicely, the second is still trying to lose it’s helmet. In the mean time I broke down and got the 2x2 tent and Viparspectra 300w. Once everything gets here I’ll move over to the tent. I’m intrigued to see if they will out grow there one gallon pots and need to be transplanted into 3 gallon pots. I’m wanting to pick up some white widow from seedsman. I’m thinking I might have room in the tent for the dwarfs if they stay small and still have room for the widows. Maybe I’m being too greedy with my space? Thoughts?
