This is my second grow after successfully completing a White Widow CBD. I learned a lot from this grow and also by reading many grow reports the last couple of months

Setup more or less the same:
  • 60x60x140 IKEA kit
  • Mars HydroII 300W (60x5W) LED, 115W from the wall
  • Mechanical clock
  • Arduino sensors
  • Garden Highpro vent GH-V-117
  • Can-Lite Carbon filtre
  • 18l pot Vertigo, 16l Root Pouch Dinamed
  • Plagron batmix + 30% cocos
  • Canna Rhyzotonic
  • Biobizz bio-grow, bio-bloom and TopMax
  • Fan 5W
  • Accurate PH8 soil probe
  • Fertometer EC probe
I bought regular Dinamed photo but thanks to @Dinafem-Mark I have the chance to test Dinamed auto. Plan was to grow it next to a Dinamed White Widow auto but a major logistic problem (all seeds were crushed during transport) decided it has to grow next to a Vertigo from Paradise Seeds

As I leave on vacation July 6th, plants will be harvested after a maximum of 75 days…

I will check and log different parameters with arduino: temp and humidity of air and soil, light and when sensors arrive CO2 and pressure

PH soil with accurate PH probe and EC with a fertometer.
As I grow 100% organic it is just for measurement, I will not correct PH water.

Here we go.

Dinamed planted april 16, Vertigo one day before, seed direct in seedling soil in 1l pot under pet bottle, both heads up three days later. In this journal I will count the days of Dinamed but Vertigo is one day older.

Day 1 April 19

LED at 60cm
they will get 50ml tap water with 2ml/l Rhyzotonic when needed

Day 9

transplanted in their final pot with Plagron batmix mixed with 30% cocos. First or 5 weeks I don’t have to give anything else then water with Rhizotonic. I check with the fertometer when I need to start with extra nutes.
Dinafem is a slower grower but both plants very healthy.

I wanted to give the Dinamed “the best” pot I have, root pouch, they claim a better root system BUT…

it seems root temp in a root pouch is about FIVE degrees celsius lower than in my normal plastic pot! I double checked sensors, switched sensors but the difference stays. I think only logical explanation is evaporation through the surface of the root pouch is cooling down the soil, but by 5 °C that is a lot! Not so sure anymore if this is the better pot now, maybe when it is hot, we will see...

Subbed ,

Where did you source your sensors from pal,,,,and remind me again if you all ready told me ,, I take it you have a phone app that reads the arduinio does that have to be uploaded ? I really like these ideas I not tech savvy ,,,,like I wouldn't know where to source the most efficient sensors from etc

I get my sensors "el cheapo" from Aliexpress
air temp and humidity is a DHT22 or BME280 witch also includes barometric pressure
soil temp is DS18B20
soil humidity look for Capacitive soil moisture sensor
BH1750 lux meter
MH-Z19 for co2
app I use is Blynck, my arduino is live connected with Esp8266 to Blynck database
I'm not a programmer, all I do is some copy paste of code I find on the internet

I also forgot to Tag some people who might be interested in this grow: @Dinafem-Mark , @Spanglish , @archie gemmill , @Tricycleofdoom , @StickMan , @912GreenSkell , @idiopathic neuropathy , @Maria Sanchez

Thanks for the tag, @Wietie ! Happy to see you go with this Dinamed (and Vertigo).
I love the look of the Arduino, but ... more tech than I could manage these days, haha.
I'm sure it's helpful though. You've already diagnosed one potential issue.
Hope these girls get big in those pots. 16L and 18L ... are you sure a 60 x 60 tent will contain them? :p

:pass::biggrin: you do know I ain't a clue what your on about . No I sorta get it

I will Google them numbers and see what's it all about :toke:

I will be back to ask lots of simple questions about this I am sure ,,,,, :coffee:

As I'm not an experienced weed grower I can use all the help I can get, not only from the sensors but for sure from the AFN community as well
I hope these two will be like my first grow, not tall but bushy, at first I was afraid my first grow was not tall enough, now I'm happy with the big yield from that small plant
