Hey guys so I have 2500 watts of HPS and a 10 by 10 room. I am looking to harvest a pound a month. My plan is to do a SOG style grow of some 60-70 day flowering from seed auto strain and add more plants every 30 days, that way I am harvesting about once a month. Question is, is sog the best way to acheive my goal? Or can I do a pound of month with less plants? Is 2500 watts enough to produce the type of results I want? What approach would you take ?

All help & suggestions are very much appreciated!

so many variables man, 10 by 10 is that metres?
Pound a month??? You must have a high tolerance!
How are your lights set up, one big unit or several smaller ones?
What strains are you wanting to grow?
Hydro/Coco/Soil?
you could grow one Auto Ultimate a month and get a pound each time - if you're lucky!
Big ambitions, good luck!

I imagine I get about a pound a month, I grow in Coco and average about 1000 Watts.

Your plants can be under t5:s for their first 2-4 weeks.

Find 3-4 or stains you like in XXL plants and start a plant every three weeks.

Thanks for the input! That is 10 by 10 feet. I will be doing DWC in 3 gallon buckets. 2 1000 watt units one 500 watt unit!

You get a pound from only 1000 watts a month?! Wow nice! How many autos can fit under 1000 watts?

Ask not how many plants in a space or light, but how big a plant you can make and how many to get a dry pound, then...ok, I'm ultra stoned right now, but if he's getting your goal, stick with what he said.

10 x 10 is a nice size, by the way. I'd grow no more than 4 plants, but bend the crap out of them, have a nice and even canopy. Just did this harvest today, but it was a photo, and it sat in veg for a long time, waiting to be moved, then 2 to 3 months blooming.

When I started with photos I did Dwc 6-8, 5 gallon buckets. I had 3 strains that would allow a fifteen week rotation. I did a pound a month with a 650 watt LED in a 4x6 foot area.

Go with 3.5 gallon buckets to start and finish in 5 gallons you'll need the root space in the end. They will both use the same net pot. If your in the States order your buckets from Uline, get them black. Buy twice what you need, when it's time for a nute change make a whole new bucket and put your net pot right down on the new bucket.
Easy as can be.

Before you even start, get a pH pen and TDS meter. Spend at least $50 a peace and learn all you can about your water source.

If your water is to alkaline it will be harder to do hydro.
