Indoor 2 150watt hps or 1 400watt?

I already have one 150watt hps sunsystem and dont think its enough light for my room. my rooms is 3'x3' and 6' tall. Im going to be growing a diesel ryder, himalayan blue diesel, and a pineapple express.. I was wondering if i should get another 150watter or just get a 400watt?

I would just bite the bullet and grab the 400w,

Even if you grab another 150 it still wouldn't really be enough for that space.

With hid light you want atleast 40 to 50 watts per foot and that 400w would put you at 44 watts per foot

I agree, get a 400 watt system. That's what's rated to cover than size room. If you can, put a metal halide bulb in the 150 and use if for veg.

Thanks for the replies... also would you stay away from the cheaper hps lights on ebay?? or would it be best to just spend the extra $ and go with a better brand?

I would spend the extra if it were me

Sure those chinese ones are cheaper but theres no telling how long they would last and what happens when they go

i think im going to go with the sun system 2 400watt.. it switches from mh or hps. a friend of mine has one and loves it! What kinda of lights should i start them under??

Personally I'll spend a little more to get better quality. Not a whole lot of difference when it comes to reflectors but the bulb and ballast can make a difference. I'd go with the a switchable electronic ballast and a good quality bulb. Use the MH for veg and switch to HPS for flower or just run HPS the whole grow. The better HPS bulbs have expanded blue spectrum for veg and with autos having such a short veg period HPS the whole grow works well.
