I'm new and I got my 5x5 ac infinity cloud grow tent today. Right now I got 1000w growstar and 1200w sonlipo made for cannabis both 30in running at 100% is this to much light? Since I put in tent with 2 fans and humidifier it's 79°f and 65% humidity. I get my 6in ac infinity cloud ventilation fan.

I usally keep mine at around 18 inches at around 25% power until true leafs arrive then slowly over time increase light percentages slowly and keep adjusting heights for growth to around 18 inches, but ive noticed all lights are different whether is in spectrum or energy out put through dimming devices and or drivers so using my eyeballs if one light looks brighter then the other i compensate. If any of that makes sense hahah i was dropped on my head a few times as a baby though. Im new though i dont have a PAR meter. There are different levels of PAR and DLI necessary for each stage of growth im venturing into those aspects now but its a bit overwhelming.

Seedlings require minimum lighting ... maybe 25% at 24"? And just one light, not both. If they start to get a bit leggy, turn the light up another 10% or so.

If you have an iphone, there is a decent ppfd, DLI, lux app for a few bucks or so

Well my light lux on plant is 5802 and right on light 36680 at 25% at 24 in. I just added the finishing touch to the ac infinity 5x5 grow tent. Thanks for the advice...

I'm not quit sure what the numbers mean? 20,000 lux for seedlings .. but lux is a poor unit of measurement for l e d 's

A ppfd of 200 @18hrs is the ballpark for a week old seedling
At 20 hrs, a ppfd of 170

Keep an eye on them and see how they respond. You only need one of those lights on right now. Save some $$ on electrons :smoking:

It's a learning experience that never stops

Only one is on its a 120w how do I find ppfd out?

Look at post #4 in this thread. There is a link for an App if you have an iphone. It isn't recommended to use with an Android phone.

From post #2 from Suki, the lower right chart shows a ppfd of 900 in the center at 24 inches, and drops as you move away from the center, into the 300's.

So turning down the light a bit and or moving the seedlings so the light isn't directly above them are a couple ways to lower intensity.

You can use the lux meter just for your own personal reference. As i said earlier 20k for seedlings with a lux meter is a rough estimate.

And have fun with growing.. we all mess up and learn as we grow. A few years ago, all these terms and such meant nothing to me, as i had only grown outdoors which is a different animal. Slowly, me old brain started learning, usually after screwing something up

So take what yu can digest, have a puff or two, and keep on keeping on :smoking:

Would that be at plant level or up against light? 20k I don't have a iphone I got light at 25% its 79️°f 61% humidity. That is hanging 24 in above at 25% 120w. Again thanks...is this good. One plant looks a little sick. They've been stressed now I got everything they should be ok for now. 1st one has a light green looks as if wants to turn yellow. 2nd pic is a good deep green. I don't know if I'm over watering them or what.
