Hey Folks? Hope y’all doing well, I’m a 1st time grower growing in stealth. Got 2 Frisian Ducks that’s in Veg for a few months now indoors under 300w ViparSpectra 16/8 & would like to flip them to 12/12 outdoors since the season allows so but I’m worried about the smell they might produce cuz they’d hang me if I get caught (they’re to be placed on the balcony).. it’s supposedly a low-profile odor as I’ve read on other fellow growers diaries.. any tips? Much Appreciated!

Well first off I want to say welcome to AFN. :pighug:  :headbang::pass:

Well it looks like you got yourself a couple of plants going there.
I don't know how tall your ceiling is?
but they're pretty tall. with the light just above the plants. I realize it's only a 300 watt light but those plants look pretty tall already.

The smell you can reduce that...by ordering yourself a carbon filter..I'm sure one of these other guys will get on here in a minute and give you a good brand to look for. Cuz I don't know? I don't worry about the smell I'm in a legal state and I grow a lot and don't give two Hoots about what anybody thinks about the smell.

But the main thing I'm worried about is with what I see in your grow room is that you don't have enough ceiling space for the plants you have now. They are already pretty big and tall girls.
I might think that you might want to take clones from those plants and give that a go with some shorter plants.
Study while you're waiting for those clones to grow amd study some manipulation techniques and LST and scrog netting to help keep your height down in that small grow room. Because them plants when you flip them over to 12/12 and turn them into flowering they're going to explode with growth and most likely out growing your ceiling space in that room.

Think he's worried about smell outdoors...they are to be placed on balcony.......nothing really to be done in that case except to get coverage plants, basil, mint etc...to try to mask any smell.

I like Bill's advice of cover plants. Lavender is a good one, mint, basil, etc. theyre great plants to keep around for cookin and cocktails also!
Looking at that option for my back deck seeders and males as neighbor mentioned a skunk in the neighborhood...

Oh my misunderstanding. :dang:

Still though they're pretty tall plants to try to be stealth outside...

Yeah not much can be done about outside stinkiness. unless you've already got a Floral Garden to work with with lots of stinky flowers. Cuz if you're growing something that's stinking there... yeah

Good luck though happy growing be careful don't get yourself held up...:nono::cheers:
