Will this setup be o.k? first time grow
Does anybody know if using a 300w dual spectrum cfl as main top light and 125 dual as the side light will be any good? Currently using just a 125w dual but my 300w will be here on monday shall i use both lights together or just one of them ie been told together they will make about 27000 lumens. My grow space is ruffley 1m x 1m and 2.5 m high its an old cuboard fitted with some diamond reflective shetting. im growing with bio bizz light mix and using bio bizz grow /bio bloom in a 10 letre pot and have a 2speed clip on fan no temp guage yet (comes next week) Currently growing purple kush auto ive been told shes in pre flower and seems to be doing o.k

All feed back would be helpful as gona be changing grow space round monday

Your grow space sounds great mate. 425w should be enough to grow some amazing plants. You could get a real monster in there! I believe the trick is getting the cfl close to the plant but not too close that it burns the leaves.

No way will you get 27000 lumens from those lights,maybe 6,000 at the most.You will need a lot more light for that size tent.

namvet the the 8u 300w cfl produces 18000 lumens and the 125w nearly 9000 but i supposs every hydro shop ie been into and hundreds online are wrong are they? Ill take your word for it then shall i

im using a 300w cfl and though the lumen's say on the box its very high the penetration is poor and heat is unreal

1mx1m is a large area for as cfl's

thankz Agito i know it wont proberly get the full amount but 6000 lumens is quite an under estermation aint it! as for penetration im going to use the 125 for side lighting to try increase it? just measured my area with a tape measure i over estermated it by miles lmao its 2ft 2inch by 2ft 2inch and 1meter high but i can reduce the height if i needed to? It was my girlfreind that told me it was about 1m x 1m she needs glasses

sorry just checked mine top end 200w 13500 lumens im in a space smaller than 2ft x 2ft and i get node spacing in veg and if i move it closer the heat just cooks my plants

a 2x2 should be ok though if you can keep it cool

try and get shorter plants as well
