I'm 60 days in on my current grow and have some questions regarding EC/PPM levels. Looking online I see people freaking out by going over 1.1 EC whereas other are claiming you can go much higher (2.0+). I'm using RO water along with the very "light" feeding scheduled for all of the nutrients and I'm getting around 1.7 EC in my latest mix. I don't see how it's possible to keep it that low even with going very light on the nutes. Any feedback to add to the mix?

This week was: 7ml A+B, Boost 4ml, Calmang 5ml, AN Overdrive 5ml per gallon. I am fighting some lockout/deficiency right now here

Plant Info (Mephisto forgotten cookies + Jammy Dodgers):
Day 60.
Growing in 100% coco in 5 gallon autopots.
Feeding RO Water.
Doing light feeding schedule recommended by canna.
PH to 5.8
DLI: Lowering as was too high.

Problem solved by raising your lights and raising the food. Believe it or not :pass:.But when burnt at the tops you can’t get the leaf’s to recover.

And if someone else tells you a different story - ask to see their plants…

:yeahthat: yeah I would agree will that too… most of the time it is from too much of something main components being lights and food

Where you confusion with EC maybe peaople talking autoflower vs photoperiods… In my experience I don’t need to go much over 1.0ec with my plants but have heard of guys going upwards of 2.. I think it will depend on your nute brand and your growing style I use mega crop … If you think your nute balance is ok and it is just too high of EC you can dilute the nute mix back to desired EC and then feed that will keep the balance in check.. It works ok until you start diluting a lot then the micros will go out if balance…

Hey thanks for the feedback. I was able to jerry rig the lights up (have some hangers from Amazon incoming) another 8-10" from the canopy top and at around 19" away from the light. Will definitely dim/raise the lights so I'm in the 40's DLI.

I was just trying to figure out how people had such a low EC level solution even with putting in 1/2 of the recommended nute solution. I'm even starting with RO water with maybe 20 PPM.

Your plants are looking good, it was just little to much light.. 1.9-2.2 is good in coco for the size of those plants. But as they are of different size their food can differ some digits: .2-.3?
Those who run the EC that low don’t push their girls with light.
