Hey all,

New grower trying to learn a new hobby.

I started two plants who sprouted 8 weeks ago. I have them in 3 gallon fabric pots with a mix of fox farm ocean forest, happy frog and perlite and have been watering with tap water PH'd to 6.0-6.5.

The plants seem to be pretty small for their age and one is starting to show signs of stress. I started feeding with fox farm trio in week six at 1/4 strength and I'm thinking i got started to late? The ak-47 though small seems to be doing well. The auto #1 is a little bigger but seems to be yellowing at the top.

Any recommendations on what I should adjust?

Top 3 pics are the auto# 1 4th pick is the ak-47. Neither of the plants seemed to stretch at all...

@Chango989 :welcome:Welcome To AFN:welcome: Your plants look overfed to me. That dark green waxy look and the "Claw" tips are indications of too much. I would go water only for a while until that color softens up.

Autoflowering plants are on a genetic internal time clock. If stress is applied to the plant at the wrong time in its life it can limit the growth. I think ideally the seed is planted in the pot right where it will grow. The tap root can grow 9 inches in 3 days and the laterals are not far behind. Transplanting can cause stress at this critical time. Then there is always the shyte factor - I have done many many stupid things in the space .

They may still surprise you. :goodluck:

Thank you for your feedback. My last two feedings have been just PhD water so I will keep doing that for a bit. From what I've read ffof runs hot but I thought mixing it with happy frog should have helped a bit. I also thought the initial nutes in soil would only carry it for the first month, so after 6 weeks figured it was time for a light feeding.

Sometimes I feel I'm overthinking things. Guess I should sit back a little and let them do their thing.

Cheers!

Been about 10 days or so since my last post. Gave a couple more feeding of Ph'd water of 6.25. the plants seemed to have lightened up a bit so I gave another round of feeding at 1/4 strength of fox farm trio 2 days ago. Seems like a few of the main leaves have yellowed and or dryed up and a lot of the small leaves underneath were brown and shriveled.

I flushed the plants with water PH'd to 6.25 and checked the the runoff which came in on just under 6 on one plant and just over 6 on the other.

Any ideas on what I should do next? I don't want to over feed but feel they are missing out on something.

Is this a Hermie? I'm getting toward the end of flower thought I was another week or 2 out. Should I let it go or chop it early. It's in a tent with another plant. No signs of Hermie on the other one.

Any help would be appreciated.

That right there is a "nanner"... sometimes a plant getting "close" will toss a nanner as a last ditch effort to preserve its genetics. If both plants are coming down in 2 weeks, I'd clip it carefully, do an eagle eye inspection of the rest of the plant, and finish it out as planned.
