OK, So I figured I would jump in here and start a thread for my upcoming grow. I am not new to growing but I am to Autos. After reading this forum for the last few weeks I have come to the realization that most everyone here goes well above and beyond the basic outdoor grows that I have made for years. I assume that is due to the minimal harvest expected from autos and maximizing the potential with every possible variable.

So, first off, I was considering an outdoor grow. I am still considering this but will probably post that thread in outdoor grows since I have a pretty good handle on outdoor. Now, after quite a bit of reading I have determined that I am going to have to move indoor as well if I am going to curb my need for stealth grows in my national forest. So with that being said here is my list of items at the moment I have at the house or on the way.

Growlabs GL145
Virtual Sun 1000 Watt Kit w/ Digi ballast
Soil/Nutes - Still undetermined

I am going to start 7 DP Blueberry and 7 SS Blue Himalaya(Reg) with the hopes of pulling a male or two out of the Himalaya's to breed with the DP for seeds. From my understanding, cloning Autos is useless for future grows so I prefer not to be purchasing seeds at outrageous prices and risking customs tagging my address as a potential grow house. I hope to have the growlab down to 10-12 plants by flowering time. I will be isolating the male and female in by bedroom closet under cfl for seeding purposes just to assure the male doesn't contaminate my growlab.

I look forward to any critiques, ideas, questions, concerns. I am thick skinned so don't worry about hurting my feelings. I would rather have someone state their feelings than end up with a FUBAR grow room halfway into blooming.

Thanks in advance for everything.

I will be posting pictures as I begin assembling everything, hopefully in less than 2 weeks. BTW, this is going in the garage.

Good to see you getting started. Couple of things you may or may not have thought about. One being ventilation and smell. That 1,000 watter is going to crank out some heat and a carbon filter is practically a must, especially with that many plants. You're also going to need a good pH meter. If something goes south, that's usually the first thing to look at. Most issues are caused by incorrect pH. As to soil, what is available locally? Pro Mix BX and Sunshine Mix #4 are both good if you can get them. Also, I'd recommend 3 gallon pots for the number of plants you're planning to grow in that sized tent.

welcome to afn bama, a great bunch from all over the planet. you will love the blueberrys. i have two ready to harvest soon. the help here is awesome!

Alright, finally figured out how to add some pictures.

My tent and light came yesterday so I am getting closer by the day. I have attached some pictures for your perusal. I should have my fan, duct and filters this upcoming week. I plan on hatching out a few beans this weekend in preparation for a seed grow. I have several different strains I would like to try the colloidal silver on. It will be my first attempt at that but I have been doing quite a bit of reading and it appears to by pretty straightforward. So, at this point my intentions for my first indoor grow are seeds and I plan on planting the remainder of my ladies outdoors in a month or so with my vegetable garden. I don't think I will be using the tent for much during the Summer except for trials and seeds. I have the Hydrohut Silver 3x3x6.5, a Hydrofarm Radiant 6" with a Lumatek digi Ballast 600W. I have a Sunleaves 6" fan and 6" Phresh carbon filter on the way. As you can see I have my Promix in the background and I will be using GH Flora Series w/ 3 Gallon Smart Pots and RO water. I have some Bio-Silver Ultra 50ppm on order as well.

Is there anything I am missing? Any/all comments/criticisms welcomed. I would rather have someone call me stupid in the beginning than wait until the shit hits the fan and have to start over again. By the way, the plants in there now are vegetables I had started last week. I wanted to run the light a few days before I hatch out any seeds to assure everything is gonna be good to go!

Thanks everyone!

I finally got some pictures added, took a minute to figure out.

Yeah, those are watermelons. lol

I haven't germed any bud seeds yet. Probably do that this weekend.

hey bama, sweet setup you have everything covered! one thing you may want to add, a inside the tent reciprocating fan to blow across your seedlings, makes em tough!

Thanks, I didn't think about that. I did go out this morning and the low in the tent was 54 last night so it looks like I will be buying a small heater to go in there when the lights aren't on. The high was 85 with the lights on and no cooling fan at all on the hood so I may be able to get away with not running an inline fan for another month or so.

Looks like you've got it pretty well covered. Did you get a pH meter?
