View media item 1992]Hello all...i am starting my first grow after lots of research(very nervous). I have 2 300 watt hydrogalaxy led lights in a 2x4x5 tent. To start i have 2 small circulating fans with a 4" inline fan w/ carbon filter. I planted 6 seeds with hopes that 3 take hold and i can go from there. I went straight into soil no pre treatment of the seeds. Using Black Gold soil with about 50% perlite. I am starting with 2 strain hunters skunk, 00seeds N.L., Sweet Soma, and afghan, and 1 paradise vertigo autos. Planted a day ago pre soaked 3 gal. smart pots. Misted today lightly. Light is about 24 inches from soil. 80f with 40%rhu. Will post pics soon, hopefully the pop in the next few days. Any advice is appreciated and I thank you in advance. Will b happy to answer any ?'s aslo.

on 2nd day i had the vertigo pop up with shell stuck on head..left it alone for a day and today on day 3 i shucked the shell so we will see what happens. Also both Skunks popped up one with shell and i quickly helped remove that 1. i do no think i planted them deep enough but overall i have 3 showing life. only using 1 300w light at the moment, will b adding the 2nd tomorrow i think

sorry for the absence of this "journal" but i have been crazy busy. things have been pretty smooth so far with minor hiccups along the way (cal/mag issuse, minor nute burn). i think i have the ff lineup dialed in. using the regular ff trio w/ bushdoctor kelp me and bembe, and the soluble trio (chaching, beastie, sesame). getting very excited now. NL is 27", soma is 28", afghanmass is 26 3/4", skunk is 28 1/4" and vertigo is 22". had to cull one of the skunks because it would not flower on me after 35 days and i do not have the space to let it go by itself for however long. i think 5 is plenty for my space anyway. skunk and vertigo are almost ready by there label time as vertigo says 60 and skunk 65. started flush on skunk and vertigo on the 20th and they showed it the next day by yellowing at the tops. i posted in the infirmary section as i was scared something was wrong but i think were good. NL has a ways to go and she is thirsty as hell. no pics of her yet, shes a lil shy

DAY# 62
Decided to Chop Vertigo and Skunk on day 62. I have never grown so i decided to harvest at different stages just to test what i get. Not at all disappointed in the results. However...I do feel they should have gone longer but now i know how long (kinda sorta) i need to let the others go. I hope to get at least an ounce off of the vertigo and a 75% loss in weight on the skunk would put me at just 2 grams shy of 2 ounces. I have them hanging in a small tent, suspended in 4 paper bags with 60 %RH at 74f. I will show pics when i move to jars. Northern lights is crazy bushy. I did some pretty solid lst on her and i only gave her one dose of open sesame but holy cow, lots of bud sites. She is always thirsty and just barely started with a yellow pistil here or there so she might go a while. I am dropping 3 FastBuds GSC into water today to be ready for soil tomorrow as i now have more room in the tent. When the other 3 fall then its some Mephisto Genetics i have on the way.
