If I do 12/12 from seed would it be pointlesss ? I read some people say I might as well do 18/6 first 2 weeks since it won’t start to flower anyways ….I got 6 fem I’m using 2gal fiber pot to get rid of these and I’m switching to straight autoflowers after …they’re about to be here today so if I need to know asap if I should just do 18/6 if I’m still not going to be able to HARVEST sooner ?….

Does the like mean do 12:12 or 18/6 first 2 weeks ? Lol

I want to get rid of these I don’t want to throw them away I already ordered them so I just want to harvest as soon as possible

Autoflowers or Photoperiods?

Autoflowers = put them on 18 hours or 20 hours light start to finish, and they're finished when they're finished (no rushing them)

Photoperiods = Put them on an 18 hour light schdule while vegging and when you want to flower, switch to 12/12 lghting. The longer you veg before flipping the timer, the bigger the plant and bigger the harvest should be.

I'm pretty sure some people 12/12 photos from seed, but i've never done it and don't know what yeilds will be.

edit: Just googled and read some of the thousands of results. 7-9 weeks, and small plants. A fully grown faster auto will probably out yeild it.

Good luck ^_^

Ya I did to on different forums seems like half the people say from actual seed it’s a waste because it needs 2-3 weeks to mature before it flowers anyways…wasting potential yield because you could have the plant u get 18/6 first 2 weeks then switch and only reason I just started growing again and heard bad stuff about auto potency due to ruderalis but read there a lot better now and more potent

Yeah, that's very old news. Ten years ago there was a concern about ruderalis and potency, but now there's not much difference between photoperiods and autoflowers.

IMO it's easier to grow a photoperiod plant due to the ability to keep in veg for longer if something gets ballsed up ^_^
(you don't want to balls up your first 20 days of an autoflowers life)

I'm over simplifying, but

PPFD is basically how much light hits an area.

DLI, day light index is a calculation of that over the time of your light cycle

it takes twice as much light to run 12/12 as 24/0 to get the same DLI
