Just set up my 70cm x 70cm tent. This is my fist time growing under LED & it took me an age to make a descision on brand & model. In the end I went for the Invisible Sun 240H Diy kit & the far red "R Strip". In total this comes to 300watt out the wall. I was nervous about popping a seed under at full power & frying the wee gal. Similarly I didn't want to be overly cautious & waste potential by running the lights too low.
I decided to sprout some clover as a cover crop & get the soil warmed up
& ready for its main guest. This also has the advantage of being able to run the lights full tilt for a week to see how the clover seedlings handle all 300 watt.
I couldn't believe it, first sprout was up after less than 10hrs after being planted! Now, less than 20hrs after planting one of the sprouts is an inch tall!
Can't wait to get the bean in there in a week's time & see what these lights can really do!

Nice one Benji, how you liking the light so far? Personally I like to start with the light dimmed but 12 inches away so I can save on electricity bill, i also use a free par meter app, maybe not so accurate but gives you an indication at least of how much light is hitting the girls!

@ChroToker I'm a couple of weeks in. Think I'm having a slight issue though. More my incompetence than technical failings :D Just put a thread up here:
Hey Benji, I wouldn't worry to much about the bigger one with the slightly yellow first set of leaves as those first single leaves always seem to go a bit manky and the newest growth looks good to me, the smaller one the leaves are drooping a bit so you could maybe try moving your light slightly and maybe just give 15000 lux to see if she perks up

@ChroToker They wake up in about half an hour so i'll have a play. Don't have any headroom left in the tent buy I can certainly drop the output on the light.
nice one :)
