hi all,

Quick question. I have a single 5 gallon bucket grow. I don't want to set up a second mom chamber, or clone area. I want to grow 1 plant, and pull a few seeds off of it. This way I don't have to spend more $ for seeds.

I only need 4-6oz a year... so I would love to grow a female plant, and get a few viable seeds and the rest bud. I obviously can't use cs since I'll use the bud to vape. There are other methods also... just need a few pointers.

Running a regular seed, that is female. I'm pretty sure it's not f1(peakseedsbc)

Not gonna happen, well in a normal sense as you will need to have another plant as some point, or pollen from somewhere else, so you'll need a male plant that you can collect pollen off of, or a female that you reverse for pollen, as your gonna need to get that pollen some how, and i highly don't suggest trying to hermi your plant through traditional stress, as you don't want plants that are prone to that.

Now saying that you can just CS a lower branch while avoiding the rest of the plant which gives you both of what you want, and work fine that way, or seeings how your running a regular seed you can always reveg your plant at the end of flowering by throwing the light cycle back to a veg cycle and leaving a couple lower buds on, takes about 3 weeks before normal growth is starting to go again, I've done it countless times, any regular seeds i run if i deem they are worthy to give another go they get re vegged and either run again or clones are taken, I've had some plants I've run through 4 times, and could of easily done it more if i wanted too, but decided to move on .

So i would say you have two ways of going about things if you only want to run one plant.

Thank you for the information. Very helpful.

What happens if you keep pulling a clone off the reveg plant, and recycle it over and over? Will they keep producing like a fresh clone?

well once revegged you can make closes for as long as you keep the plant healthy, now a clone of a clone of a clone, and or reveg after reveg after reveg some say that can lead to eventual possible genetic degradation and or loss of vigor but there are plenty of strains out there than have been around since the 70's doing specifically that, so you have to take everything with a grain of salt.

When I ran photos I would use the perpetual clone method at times pulling clones from clones thru 5-6 generations and I know they where 3+ generations when I got them. Quality and yield was consistent. If it is a photo plant take a few clones and reverse one with STS or cs. If u keep the clones small they can make plenty of seeds with out taking up too much room.i do it w autos too .I personally use a clear plastic isolation chamber in the same grow area to breed in without seeding the whole room. Once I'm convinced that the target female is knocked up I spray them down w water and put it in w the rest. Bazinga!!! I area w controlled amount of seeds

Or u can do as Mr sparkle said and reverse one branch but then u loose control over how many seeds in all the bud. Depending on who u talk to reversing a branch to make s1 seeds can or cannot promote hermitic genetics .
