tent question

So i was going to start my first grow outside in soil but the more i go around the internet i see everyone has a indoor setup should i just spend the money on the grow setup or just stick with my outdoor plan i could use some help trying to get at least 70 to 100 a plant

I have a 5' by 5' by 2m long tent. It's good for my 1000w lights and t5 fluorescent. Downside is that it's pretty big in dimension. My issue is that when I was taking the tent apart before, some of the connectors that attach the beams ended up cracking. Due to this, I'm left with a kinda...
