The Arch Angel Aliester Growley would have loved the chance to grow The Black Dragon but was skeptical and to be perfectly honest still am. Like I said I will take front row seat for that grow whenever you choose to do so. Let’s see what Mossy’s Black Dragon is really about when someone else grows it.

I’ve been getting a lot of these recently and it’s been killing me. I pop them open after a few days and see the sprout just chill’n all snug and ready but I’m under able to bring them around.

Ms. @Mossy

The Great Aliester remembers when he was a young lad talking to you in the DM’s many moons ago before he died for our sins and rose to the heavens. You were quite flirtatious with The Great One from what he remembers.

Offering feminized seeds gives growers an option that simplifies planning and avoids raising unwanted males. Simply put, as a majority, most growers simply don’t want regs. That shouldn’t not by itself be considered a criticism of the original line or its quality (or of most breeders, for that matter.)

Now, @AliesterGrowley, let’s address how this conversation is being handled because it is getting a little wild for even my tastes.

AFN is a growers community built around education, access, and mutual respect. We have never charged members for access or put our content behind a paywall. We have arranged thousands of dollars’ worth of genetics and equipment for growers around the world because supporting this community comes first. We have spent over 15 years (coming up on 16 years) providing a very safe place for autoflower growers and breeders to be able to discuss cultivation and we’d like to continue to provide that.

That also means members are free to discuss their experiences with breeders and their genetics, including disappointing results. Nobody receives immunity from criticism here; not sponsors, not established breeders, and not even the founders of this website.

But that freedom comes with an expectation of respectful conduct and accountability for the claims being made.

You documented your reported observations about Anvil in February 2024. That has been acknowledged (in the sense that we acknowledge you saying it.) The unresolved issue is how your subsequent statements fit together.

In November 2025, you described improving the stock you called Purple Auto (which you admitted was actually Anvil) and adopting the Vampire names for it. You now say you could not find a suitable male to continue breeding and discarded the remaining seeds. Those accounts need clarification. Does today’s Vampire descend from that stock? Were only the leftover seeds discarded or was the entire project abandoned?

Your claims of 15-20 years of work and an F30+ pedigree also need supporting records. You have post pictures of relatively small plants with unusual coloration. If you can’t even establish a generation count, a selection history, or demonstrated improvement over the starting material, you’re just a guy typing things on the internet.

You are welcome to explain your process and present your evidence. You are also welcome to report problems you experienced with another breeder’s seeds. What is not acceptable is using those experiences as a platform for personal insults, declarations of superiority, or dismissive treatment of members asking reasonable questions.

FD’s role in founding this community does not put his work beyond scrutiny. Equally, your claim to have improved his work does not put yours beyond scrutiny. The same standard applies to everyone: explain what you observed, distinguish observation from conclusion, and support your claims. If not, you’re just running your mouth.

From this point forward, please drop the third person titles and address members directly and respectfully. This is an administrative suggestion. If the insults and theatrical responses continue, your participation here will end.

Likewise, I’m going to ask our community here to dial it back a bit as well, but I will say this is pretty typical response when someone that no one knows shows up and start popping off about someone we do know.

If you would like to discuss this privately, send me a message. We have time for a substantive conversation about breeding. We do not have time for more personal attacks or evasive answers.
