3 harvests so far so this is the 4th.
I can’t argue with you because the results speak for themselves. do you defol at weekn2 and 4 or so? Or how do you tell it’s time for the defol?

It’s the same answer I got and hated. I read the plant and it decides when things get done.
i guess ill try to limit defoliation to 2 prior to flower. I’ll have to pay attention to your growth to see what stage they’re at when you defoliate.
Let those plants youve got finish and get you something for your time. Like I mentioned Ive got the grow coming up where I’ll try to explain more of the “why” on the things Im doing. I’ll do my best to get you on the right path then when you harvest and start the next grow you’ll have a much better idea of what to do.
Cool tag me in it when you start. I guess it’s too late to make it produce male flowers? That’s what Google said at least. But I’ll still probably finish it. I’m just going to start a new grow with photos in my other tent
Not to late.
If you are making S1 seeds, you want to wait till it has “Pom poms” then hit it with the STS.
you should be perfect!
Is it the same with colloidal silver? I used AI to summarize the research so I wouldn’t be surprised if I was wrong.
Edit: ended up checking again, and it looks like colloidal silver will work still. Very much appreciate the comment.
They are not quite the same thing, but do both provide the ability to reverse plants.
I would say more likely than not you are still fine if you start treatment as soon as the pom-poms start
And remember, you’re doing this to learn and to have fun, regardless, you will grow better next time!
Here is an entire article on making seeds so you don’t need to rely on AI
Reading meow thank you
Right, learn and have fun. I can’t expect massive frost harvests without troubles along the way. I lucked out my first grow and pulled a pound and half from 2 appetizers and I think it spoiled me lol because that was the standard I set for myself but youre right, and it goes the same with anything in life - excellence not perfection - meaning, enjoy the ride and improve along the way but don’t stress perfection. Collect lessons
Idk what to do. I have cPTSD and ever since the military and my martiage I’m too easy to trigger. I go from totally cool to “I need a bullet in my head” in zero seconds. I have the same attitude with everything in that state - which is “cut it off and rip it out”; and that goes with everything - my garden, my stuff, my relationships. Im supposed to to have a rule where i wait 3 days before reacting but its tough lol. It hits hard, I go from fine to literally feeling puke coming up my throat, and my traps feel like they’re going to rip off my shoulders, get twitchy/jumpy at sounds, it’s an adrenaline rush with extra emotional pain, and when it hits me, I often start screaming. It’s really bad lol. Thankfully weed often pulls me out of it
Now I see what @AutoGrowerMo was saying about AN nutrients gunking up the autopot system. I never put two in two together but now I realize they caused my reservoir to dump on my floor a couple times by making the autopot valve slimy and unsealable. This is actually a major problem for me. I’ll probably switch to Athena or similar once I run out.
Triacontanol doesn’t work like that. You’re where you’re gonna be bud, no way to change that. You’ll get a decent harvest after all is said and done and the stretch is finished and all that hat.
Wont it increase stretching? Wouldnt that be a good thing? i guess it probably wont increase distance between existing nodes/internodes but wouldn’t any extra stretching be good?
Dude you try getting into some basic breathing exercises! It sounds crazy but that works better than any drug I’ve taken to deal with stress anxiety and depression. I suffer from sever depression and anxiety and I e been hospitalized many times for my own well being. Won’t get into the specifics , but Ive lived in dark places. Ive been in therapy for about ten yrs now, and progress is slow sometimes but it’s always better than it used to be. I became a counselor for about 5yrs in mens rehab and learned a lot tools to cope with extreme thinking. If you ever need a homie you can reach out, I can shut up and listen. We can only get thru this shit together Homie. And yes, I think you were a bit spoiled your first grow being such a big yield from two plants. I’ve grown appletizer a few times and doesn’t just yield like that lol. My dms are always open Homie! Also if you can get some mega crop or cheap salt based nutes even just a basic 1,2,or 3part your life will be much easier.
Oh believe me, breathing is the first thing I do. Deep breathing doesn’t stop the adrenaline and skin crawling once the CNS is in overdrive. At that point, physical activity is better. But deep breathing with some CBT + mindfulness can go a long way before the CNS goes into overdrive.
need some help with this one. Im noticing some burnt ends. EC is .9. But theres some organic amendments too so theres no telling what they’re getting at the roots.
But i’m not noticing any twisting or clawing..
I should also mention I switched to bloom nutrients
Thinking the burnt ends are either humidity related or light related. I did drop the Dli to 35/40 a week or so ago. But they seem to still be getting worse… perhaps it’s just showing now. but it’s only 1 plant, the other is fine… idk this one.
Any thoughts? Im guessing lights because they seem to be effecting the top more just looking at the photo. Will verify… but my DLI was high (50) I just kept it because I hadn’t seen negative symptoms
My humidity/VPD is controlled automatically so I don’t think it’s that… but I’ll double check the settings. I think it hits 1.4 briefly before the humidifier kicks on. But generally the humidifier doesn’t run because the humidity wants to raise naturally (guessing stomatal transpiration)
Google said calcium lockout could be the issue but I don’t see any other symptoms of that, AND my ph stays in range plus they’re chelated (AN Sensei bloom). AND i use cal/mag xtra.
Breathing, CBT, and mindfulness saved my life!
Looks like a little bit of either nutes or light burn. Nothing concerning, but if you know your lights aren’t burning the plants, then I’d just give plain ph’d water the next couple feeds and watch to see if it clears up.
