They sent me the Athena Pro Line base nutrient line along with their product Fade which replaced the product core during the last 2-3 wks and contains little to no Nitrogen to encourage fade during senescence. They also sent me their carbohydrate product called Sugar Daddy from their sister company Technaflora, which will replace the molasses in my feed program. Along with those nutrients I will also be runningbBotanicare Silica Blast, Humboldt County’s Own Snow Storm Ultra, as well as Bio AG Ful-Power.

**Mixing the stock concentrate**

I mixed the stock concentrate according to Athena’s instructions. I mixed up one gallon of each, Core, Grow, and Bloom. I bought 1gal jugs w/ pumps to store my concentrate. According to the directions I mixed 2lbs of powder of each product with 1gal of room temp tap water. It took about 20minutes of shaking and agitation to fully dissolve all the product. I found it incredibly easy to mix. I labeled each bottle and put on the color coded caps and we are good to go! I mixed up some test batches to check pH and EC and everything is spot on! Requires zero adjustments from me at alll

**First feeding**

Yesterday the plants got their first feeding at 18 days old (Strawberry Biscotti is 12days). Plants were showing signs of wanting nutrients so they got a feeding at 25% recommended dose by Athena. Plants look funny because I was tucking leaves. I mixed up 4gals and poured it into the doggie pool. It was wicked up in about 30mins.

Very cool! That’s a solid lineup. This time around I am thinking of bottom feeding. I have some self watering pots. I understand the general rule of thumb is the roots are deep enough based off the plants height?

I should mention, the pots were only about halfway dried back. Normally I will be giving them about 9-10gals at a time. But they were showing signs of needing nutrients so they got a small feeding.

By 14 days any healthy plant should have roots near the bottom of the pot. In my experience, which isn’t much, but I’ve only had good results. 2 wks and you’re good.

I dropped a Speedrun Frosted Cherry O’s F3 last Thursday. Yesterday I gave it up for dead, opened up the Root Rooter to discover the seed had a tap root about the same size as the seed itself. I dropped it directly into the 3 gallon pot. This was yesterday around 10 AM. I still don’t see a sprout. It’s making me work for it. She’s going to be my first bottom feeding plant, assuming she is alive.

Its super easy, I found the pots will hold about 1/3 their size in water, so a 3 gal pot will wick up 1gal and because of that it holds a bit more water than top feeding where you lose a lot to gravity because it’s moving faster.

Which means you get more time between feedings! Less drybacks overall and less stress to the plant overall
