Outdoor Bob takes Barneys Farm on a BioTabs tour inside the Greenhouse - Growing Strawberry Cheesecake Auto, Moby Dick Auto & Watermelon Zkittlez Auto

Hey growers,

It has happened :wall: I've found some mold on my Strawberry Cheesecake... :crying:
The problem is, I don't know where I took that picture and looking at the buds irl I can't find it
So...What do I do friends. This is the time I need your input to this question...Do I let them run until I have enough ambers or do I cut my loses and harvest this beauty while she has buds to harvest... Dilemma :coffee2::haha:

I don't know guys. Don't want to harvest to soon, but don't want to lose buds to mold again...

Regards,

Bob :toke:
You have good eyes, I would have never seen that mold. I hope you are able to find the location of the flower so you can rid of it. I have no experience with mold so I wont be of much help. Just wanted to say your plants look great and good luck with the mold extermination.
Also, it sounds like you take trichome pics like I do. I know which plant they are from, but where they were located on the plant :wall:

Well, It was while editing the pictures that I saw that piece of mold, but yeah...Find it again on the plant? That's misery
Knowing which plant is easy. I always take my pictures in the same order. And with the trichomes I take two pictures between each plant. One of something blue and one of something black. That way I know the order in which they go as sometimes my phone turns the order around... And then I would be lying to you guys :jointman:

so what do you do? hit hard with h2o2?
Search the plant and clip off that damn bud? My Experience is mold is most near clipped off leaves.
If you harvest early you still don't know which bud it is, that may ruin the rest during drying.
I'd search (like crazy) and take off the whole affected cola, from the point the stem below is a little "free of buds".

But I guess you're already at it *G* - who wouldn't be.

Good Luck!

Well, can you believe I can't get my sleep over this issue...I don't want to treat the whole plant with H2O2 as this bleaches the buds and then they taste like sh!t.
Clipping buds is something I did last year O-plenty, lost 1/3 to mold...Still had more then enough to last me almost to my first indoor harvest :coffee2::haha:
What I'm gonna do, until someone gives me a better solution is to monitor that Strawberry Cheescake closely and do daily checks with the usb scope to see if I can find more mold, because where there's one, there's more. At least we should keep that in mind...:drunks:
According to the spec sheet she's nearing the end of her harvest window, but those are numbers for inside and a greenhouse/outdoor grow always adds a week or two. So I would say somewhere in the following week or the next she'll be ready... :goodluck:
About the Moby Dick, I think she only has days to go. When I looked at her today the calyxes seemed nice and swollen. so the trichomes are sure to follow...

Hey friends :toke:

Another day, another update. This time only some trichome shots as it was way to hot in the greenhouse...
The first ambers are starting to show, which means my window is opening now and it's just a matter of choosing the right moment

See you guys tomorrow for another look at the trichomes :d5:

this is the problem i find growing outdoors well in the UK anyway I always lose a lot of my plants to mould with are rainy summers also spotting it I've always found if I see a bud with just an odd crispy leaf and it really stands out once you know what your looking for and that's how I always find it and once I do I chop the whole cola and bin it or only save what I'm absolutely sure its not spread

Yeah brother, that's growing outdoors for ya!!

Harvest - Auto Moby Dick
Since it was a cloudy day it was perfect residing in the greenhouse. Windows still open of course, but lounging in my lazy chair with a cup of coffee and a test joint filled with some Moby Dick I took three days ago... Must say it is a fine smoke and even without curing a lovely taste and high.
Took some bud shots :drunks:

... and based upon how the looked, decided it was time for Moby Dick to come down. This picture is mid harvest, but you know...Sticky fingers prohibited me from taking more...Oh, during harvest I did find one small spot which had mold, but after removing this I didn't find any more. Most likely I'll find more when the drying has finished, but this a good sign and I couldn't be happier. Thanks to @Phyter for the RotBlock he provided me mold could be reduced to this!!

Ok, after reading some more I started worrying that behind every crispy leaf mold was hiding. So I started plucking them from the buds...And before I knew it I had stripped half of the plant bare. So I just continued stripping leaves and pulled this lady as well.
Except for one branch that I broke off while attempting to hang the plant I eventually managed to hang the plant in full upside down.
Taking pictures while harvesting is not my thing as everything starts to stick to my fingers and therefor I can't present you with evidence of my handiwork, but I'll show plenty when drying has finished
At least I got a nice piece of finger hash from it and can tell you it hit me hard...:baked:

Buds - Auto Moby Dick
Hey friends :bighug:

After four days of drying in the shed the fruit of my labor was ready for the next step in processing. I waited until everyone went to bed as this job really stinks up the place and I need good light to do this job. So after everyone went to bed I took the Moby Dick inside and started to remove the buds from the branches. Then sorting them from big to small.
1659140467137_small.jpg

I ended up with 88gr / 3.1 onces of primo bud...
1659140466905_small.jpg

...I took my time to trim these up real nice, but still on hind sight it looks like a terrible job :deadhorse:
1659140466900_small.jpg

These do smell likegood weed and curing still has to commence

1659140466893_small.jpg

I have 25gr / 0.88 once of popcorn buds I'm not going to waste my time on trimming.
Together with the trim they will go inside a bag for processing on a later date.

Some close-ups from the popcorn buds...
1659140466886_small.jpg

1659140466883_small.jpg

Not that it matters to me, but some do care so here's the weight of my trim... 13gr / 0.45 once. All this is going in a large plastic bag into the freezer.
1659140466880_small.jpg

Even that trim looks frosty as f#(k :headbang:
