So I got the TS 1000 with the black Friday sales and paid £110.50 - it's in my tent now. And I was doing the maths on electricity/price and a couple of nice numbers came up
I pay 15p per kilowatt/hour. My old light (phlizon cob) + fans = 300w. My new TS + fans = 200w. So it's a third less in electricity @15p x kilowatt/hour x 20 hours a day, I save 30p a day using the TS and not the Phlizon cob. 30p x 365 days = £109.50. I paid £110.50 so I recoup nearly the entire cost of the lamp in a year merely by buying one - pretty cool!
Also my TS costs + fans cost 60p a day to run so 60 x 7days = £4.20 a week - (420 DUDE!) Very cool.
Also taking the driver/dimmer off the light and screwing it to a bamboo place mat (any place mat) is a doddle and placing them outside your tent will definitely extend the life of the running gear, and takes heat out of the tent - making it a little bit cooler!
