No sir this time I'm innocent. She knew I wanted another 300W LED and was ordering some things she needed so bing bang boom she does a search, remembers Mars Hydro and clicks order. She did it. I benefit from it. I was going to order an old style 300 but this is better, now I can check out some 5w leds.

Hey man thats the "Old Style" 300w Panel with 3w chips. It uses about 180w from the wall. Great light and you cant beat that price

Looks like an old style case, but has 5w leds, count em out, only 60 leds on that 300W. check the answers at the bottom of the page, they explain that it's a new model. But even if it was an old style, at this price its a steal.

Yea I see the answers how they say it's now 5w chips but in the product description it says 60x3w. Hopefully Tina can clarify this as it never seen the old style with 60x5w only 100x3w. Kinda interesting actually but still a steal.

If it has the 5w chips like it says the difference between that and the 400w Mars 2 is:
White panel -60x5w / 140-150 actual watts / coverage - veg 2.2x2.2 ft/flower 1.5x1.5 ft /Price -$81 out the door
Mars 2- 80x5w / 170-200 actual watts / coverage - veg and flower 3x3 / Price - $190
Difference- 20 less chips /25-40 less true watts /a little less coverage/ half the Price

So really you would be better off buying two of the white ones for the same price and get more watts more coverage at the same price.

That's what I was thinking. Makes the mars2 redundant if that's the case. I know you can daisy chain Mars 2. Perhaps Tina will be able to explain. Will they make new Mars 2 with 10watt chips?

Yea Id wait on Tina's explaination on these lights as I was unaware they were doing this and I'm normally kept up to date with their lights and changes so I can help you guys out in here. I don't think we'll see 10w chips their was a article somewhere on why anything higher the 5w or 7w chips didn't perform well.

Fyi remember that the mars 2, brings.ir the old models doesn't. So that might be the difference although it's a huge difference for just 2 ir leds.. also mars 2 have a lot better cooling. But spec wise looks so similar uses same led diodes by what I can tell.

If you want the old models, now EB has more favorablt price as the lights are on sale. lol

Hi Tina. Sorry to keep asking questions. It looks like am going to get either 96*3w reflector or the 400w Mars 2. On eBay I can get reflector for £130 and Mars 2 for £140 . both off eBay UK from lgledsolutions-uk both free delivery. Have not decided on which one yet. Next size up reflector that will fit in tent (192*3 reflector)and next model up Mars 2 (mars 2 700w)just too expensive(set myself £150 limit). Probably end up with the reflector but will not be able to buy until wed. Is lgledsolutions authorised distributor? Can you beat this price. I am not good at exchange rates and am bit worried about import taxes if I order from abroad.

High tag60435, now the old model is upgrating to 5watt ones, the 100x3w lights are changing to 60x5w one, and the 200x3w lights are going to be 120x5w, same form, juse a little smaller size with a better penetration.

Just thought I would check in with Tina and get some answers. My wife just ordered me this.

A Mars Hydro 300W (60x5) in a classic style white case. I went to check it out and read a couple of responses to customer inquiry and It sounds like answers from Tina. So Is this a new model that she has ordered me at such a fantastic price? I may have to consider another.
