Hello guys:dance2:

I have a dilemma.. a friend of mine that is living in Albania is telling me that they are growing autoflowers there that yields up to 200g each plant but from what I read on forums and on the net I understand that the outdoor autous yield around 50g give or take...

Of course I understand that everything is relatively and many factors are included to get good results but could someone help me understand what yield I can expect if I grow autos outdoors in Greece during spring/summer and IF it is possible to have the same results as my friend in Albania?

take a look at that... you guys get almost 15h of light during the peek of the summer, however you guys also get some really REALLY hot dry summers. (i go to aegina alot!) So if you manage to supply the plants with enough water and somehow stop them from temps which are too hot, and as long as you have good soil, nutes and skills, you should be headed towards some of the bigger numbers! :D Choose the right strain too! not all plants grow big!

Hey mate and thanks for the answer:Cheers:

Yes the heat during summer is tough, feels like you are in an oven with broken controllers(!) by skills, do you mean to train the plants? I am thinking of Dutch Passions AutoMazaar or Think Different but a better suggestion is always welcomed!

I'm personally saving Think Different for the summer. Last year we had freezing temperatures in the middle of the summer and it's almost always more rain than sunshine so she'll be put to the test.

50grams? really depends on the strain and your skills. People here are growing 1100+ grams from some strains INDOORS! picking the right strains could easily get you 200-400 grams per plant.

Indoors maybe, but outdoors and particularly guerrilla growing one has to be a magician to "easily" pull 200+g from one auto plant.
I quite disagree with your numbers.

DP's strains can work well, my TD coped fairly easy with 37°C max temperatures. I'd suggest a bit longer veg autos to avoid dwarfs; good picks would be AutoUltimate and possibly DurbanPoison(both from DP), another fine option are LaBuenaHierba's autos(are worked for outdoors) and maybe the superautos by Stitch which have 5-6 weeks of veg phase and stretch a lot-get big.

So what would you recommend doing about the hot dry summers. Would some liquid that contains silicone be very useful. Something like rhino skin

50% shade cloth on really hot days. Mulch to conserve moisture and keep soil cooler. Use shade cloth to protect seedlings from hot sun. Keep mulch from the stalks of young plants, I've had them rot when rich compost mulch was pushed up against them, too hot.
