New Grower Auto White Widow - 200w CFL, Soil, Stealth Dresser - 1st Grow!

Well Jackmc, you were right. I went and opened up that bud and it was covered in rot on the inside.

I tossed that one in the trash, washed up with isopropyl and checked the rest of the colas.
I looked inside every single cola and didnt find any evidence of any more rot... but I know that doesnt necessarily mean anything... so in order to preserve whatever i can...

Here's to hoping that you guys saved SOME of my harvest.
Please pray that it doesn't turn to trash over the next few days.

Its late and I didn't plan on doing this tonight, so I didn't do great on the trim.
Tomorrow I'll get some better pics and clean it up a bit, and see if I can get a wet weight.

Thanks for the assistance!

Tim, As far as I know you don't have to throw the parts of the bud that are green. When I had bud rot I just cut the rot out and saved the rest. Congrats on the harvest even if it came a little early!

Okay here's a summary of the harvest:

Root Porn: IMG_0683.jpg

at day 95 I chopped the crop to prevent any further bud loss, I lost 1 fat cola about 4 inches long.

I hung the trimmed herbs for 6 days and I popped them into mason jars to cure.

they're all sitting about 60-62% rh, so I think they'll be fine for now.

Mostly dry weight:

3.957 oz

SUPER happy with the results, really. Beyond thrilled.

I guess this is the sign off for this thread.

I'll let you guys know when I pop another bean.

Thanks for the input!

Great result timmsw, hope we get ta see the next from start too finish, enjoy the smoke.

:kusht: Nice save timmsw...Glad you were able to save as much as you were...Congrads

Thanks:peace:

Any advice on curing? I put the buds into jars at about 60-65 Rh and they seem to be okay.
Some are fluffy and sticky bud some feel REALLY dense like a rock.

I've been burping the jars daily, but is there anything else I should be doing? It smells really grassy/hay when I open them, but its mixed with a super dank spicy/fruity smell at the same time. Will the grassy smell go away if I keep opening them daily? They've only been in the jars about 3-4 days. How long do I keep opening them?

THanks AFN!

Your doing it right on the curing. Keep burping them for a week or so and then if you can, put it away for a month. :-)

Thanks for sharing your confined space grow! It's making me :tiphat: and

Dude, killer harvest my man! Good Job!
That is one killer harvest. I got to rep slap your bad self. :slap::Sharing One:

Awesome plant man! I'm a noob myself but from reading, if you still have a grassy/hay smell they may need to be dried just a touch more. Somebody else with a bit more experience may be able to confirm this.
