I use gorilla tape to block the holes in flower pots, to adjust rate of flood and drain. Concerned whether the chemicals, in the glue could cause problems. What would be better to use?

It is by nature an adhesive, so it should retain chemicals, rather than dissolve... but never under estimate time, water and pressure... it could emulsify, or partially corrode. And it's gorilla tape we're talking about, not something edible or organic. Two cents. I use duct tape in my cab so I can't say nothin.
