Grow Mediums Gorilla Tape to Block Water?????

I use gorilla tape to block the holes in flower pots, to adjust rate of flood and drain. Concerned whether the chemicals, in the glue could cause problems. What would be better to use?

If I was forced to guess I'd say a bit too much N, not enough water, or combination of the two.

The rest of the plants look Awesome. I wouldn't change anything to cater to those weaklings.

I really doubt the tape has anything to do with it.

It is by nature an adhesive, so it should retain chemicals, rather than dissolve... but never under estimate time, water and pressure... it could emulsify, or partially corrode. And it's gorilla tape we're talking about, not something edible or organic. Two cents. I use duct tape in my cab so I can't say nothin.
