Mornin' y'all! The week is almost done.


Breakfast ya say? Coffee and gold plated eggs on the table. Sheesh. Went to three stores before I found any, limit 1 pack per person. However, they didn't say how many in a pack so I ended up with a nice big 30 count flat pack while everyone else lamented the single dozen dilemma. It was the same price too!

$8.99 = 12 eggs

or

$8.99 = 30 pack

Huh... ok then. Guess people just don't want to walk down to the last cooler. It was full!

Yep, just like Pinky said.

Big problem with bird flu causing massive deaths and culls in the chicken industry. Prices are spiking a bit and I think the news talking about it just makes it worse. Also chickens tend to slow down egg laying in winter so already a seasonal dip on top of the problems.

The egg prices here haven't gotten crazy, just hard to find them some days. I suspect people are hoarding eggs that they don't even eat. Just like the toilet paper craze during covid.

Regular dozen was $3.50 or so and now it's closer to $8-10 everywhere. I've seen on the news that some places are $20/doz.



Also good morning everyone! It's a lovely frosty Friday morning here. Expecting mid 60's tomorrow with buckets of rain! Well shoot, guess I'll have to stay in and relax alllllll day.
