Right at 28 days in w/ this one and starting to show problems. Looked at some pics on another thread and it looks like it might be a variety things ranging from pH lockout, nute burn, deficiencies… not sure. Some spottting, slightly yellow tips.It has been growing vigorously, much more than the other two. Around 14-16”. It is starting to show some pre-flower I think, so I may need to feed more?

Using Fox Farm Nutes at 1/4 strength, every other watering then recently bumped up to 1/2 strength. I have not been using CalMag yet. Growing in Biobizz Lite. Been keeping pH at around 6-6.4. Temp stays around 78-82F and drops to around 69-70. LED is on full blast at 14-16”.

-Problem: Spotting/Necrosis. Yellowing tips.

-Medium/grow method: Biobizz Lite

-Feed and supplements used: Fox Farms Trio, Right now Gtow Big, and Big Bloom

-Water source: Dechlorinated Tap; 80-100ppm, pH 6-6.5

-Strain and age: Bruce Banner and GS Cookies, 28 Days

-Climate: Day 79-82F Night 69-71, Humidity, 50-55%

- Light used: Viparspectra XS2000, 18/6

-Additional info:

How long have the plants been affected?, 3-4 days
How fast did symptoms appear?3-4 days

See pics Please help! TIA  below.

These other two are not showing these symptoms but are just slower growing and droopy (this pics is at the end of a dark cycle) compared to the other. Not sure if I have anything major here or not. They look ok to me. The one in the front is supposed to be the same strain as the big girl. It is starting to show similar signs, particularly on the lower leaves.

If you're in BB LightMix shoot for 6.3pH, the 6.0 is just a touch low. Which FF nutrient line are you using? I'm guessing the BigBloom, GrowBig, TigerBloom 3 pack? Your water source is going to be important also.

Fill this out as it will help narrow down the issue and see where something might be missing or off:

Please fill in this form: (copy and paste part is below, this first one tell what specifically to include)

-Problem: (brief description)
-Medium/grow method: soil; soilless-- coco, or peat based like Promix, etc. (please provide the actual product name); DWC, NFT, etc.
-Feed and supplements used: include brand, dosage/strength, frequency of feeding and watering (alone); method-- by hand, drippers, rercirc' or drain-to-waste,... N-P-K #'s too if you can!
-Water source: RO/DI; tap- dechlorinated-?..... EC or TDS reading; pH (don't bother with this on RO/DI, do bother with TDS/EC though to confirm it's working well enough)
-Strain and age
-Climate:
night and day ambient T and RH%; res' temperatures; any extremes in T/RH% exposure
- Light used: HID, LED, COB, combo of,... wattage; light cycle hours (20/4, 18/6 , etc.); distance to tops....
-Additional info: How long have the plants been affected?...How fast did symptoms appear?... Anything else you think might be relevant..

--Pictures including WHOLE PLANT PICS, and troubled leaves.. use normal light or flash as other light sources ruin color rendering, critical for diagnostics!

Yes, Using Trio. 1/4-1/2 strength on Big Bloom and Grow Big. Tap water vented for de-chlorination. Thanks for the form. I will post it in the OP

The chlorosis / necrosis looks like either low P or low Ca / high K. The reddish/purplish stems make it look like it's low P (but it could be a bit of both).

IIRC, BB Light has some N, but nothing else. The main FF trio is (supposedly) based on their soils, which have N, P, and Ca. The FF nutes themselves don't have any Ca (in the main three).

Do you know how much Ca is in your tap water? Is it well water or city water? City water companies will usually have a water quality report available - you'd be looking for something that lists elemental Ca levels, or calcium hardness - otherwise, you'll have to guestimate based on total hardness or EC/TDS.

yup, looks remarkably similar to what I had! :D

it's not gonna kill it (not anytime soon anyway).
looks like she's getting ready to stretch - go for N-P-K ratios of 5-10-7 (notice how the P has to be higher)

add CalMag (start in-between their "maintenance" dose and "problem fix" dose - depends for each manufacturer)

relax, they'll be just fine. here's my rehab story, very similar symptoms to yours:

keep cool, don't overwater. the soil surface has to be DRY. they are weeds.
mix ingredients in water, let them rest for 30min or smth - check PH.
if you'll adjust up or down, let them rest again for 30min - check PH.
make sure you have the PH meter calibrated every 3 weeks or so (some are even more religious)

It is city water. Out of the reservoir around 40ppm for hardness. I measure it at around 80ppm w/ pH @ 7.7

That's right - you have pretty decent tap water.

You'll probably want to add some cal-mag to balance the K in the FF nutes. And probably increase strength a bit to add more P. And possibly tweak the ratios to avoid adding too much N.

Let me know what brand cal-mag you have, and I'll take a look at the numbers.

Botanicare Cal Mag Plus

It looks like you were borderline low P at 25% strength, and now high K / low Ca at 50% strength.

I'd assume 20 ppm Ca for your water. That 80 ppm is probably the total hardness (all ions), the 40 ppm is probably the hardness of calcium carbonate alone (CaCO3), of which half is calcium atoms (Ca+).

I'd try this during vegetative. It's basically week 3 of the FF schedule at 50% strength, with cal-mag based on your tap:

Starting Water1Gal
Big Bloom3tsp
Grow Big1.5tsp
Tiger Bloom0tsp
Botanicare Ca-Mg0.5tsp
NPKCaMgSCuFeMoZnBMnSi
mg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/L
130.2442.6287.5740.8419.540.000.986.510.000.980.390.980.00

If it starts to look like too much N (dark-green leaves), you can try this to back off a bit:

Starting Water1Gal
Big Bloom3tsp
Grow Big1tsp
Tiger Bloom0tsp
Botanicare Ca-Mg0.25tsp
NPKCaMgSCuFeMoZnBMnSi
mg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/L
84.6531.2665.9530.4211.720.000.655.540.000.650.260.650.00

If it starts to look like low K, then you may have more Ca in your tap than I assumed, so I would just back-off / eliminate the cal-mag.

Once stretch finishes / starts to slow, you can try this mix for flowering. It's week 6-8 on the FF schedule at 50% strength, with a dash of cal-mag.

Starting Water1Gal
Big Bloom1.5tsp
Grow Big1tsp
Tiger Bloom1tsp
Botanicare Ca-Mg0.5tsp
NPKCaMgSCuFeMoZnBMnSi
mg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/Lmg/L
117.2172.4697.8440.8422.140.001.305.470.001.300.521.430.00

Make sure to check / adjust pH on those mixes. If you end up needing a lot of potassium-based pH Up, then you might need to adjust cal-mag a bit.
