Nympho , Nympho crosses. Next level cannabis! No im not stating density > better quality. I'm just looking for dense strains that are high in thc
Man, what you said about mold is a very distinct possibility.Do you want actual golf ball-like hard dense buds? Do you see bud density as related to increased potency or quality? I don't pursue dense buds. I have no problem with big fluffy buds full of visible trichomes, and fluffy buds often seem more potent to me.
Theoretically, besides being more prone to mold, wouldn't dense buds be less potent vs. more open, airier buds that allow a lot more leaf/sepal surface area exposure to light. And the fluffy buds would have much better xylem/floam (tissues supplying water/food and removing waste/products; think arteries and veins) support, more actual living tissue within airy buds vs. congealed, dead/suffocated tissue (no active trichomes) within dense buds?

And your statement about fluffy buds vs dense buds I would give some merit, until I saw Roc (Rocbudinc) break up one of his buds from one of his purple crosses(Purple Terple) yesterday on Twitter. I've not closely examined a bud internally ever, but I'm gonna do it now occasionally now with my bud. They were very nicely frosty nugs he pulled off a stem. You could see it was firm by him squeezing it. When he broke it up, it was just as frosty inside as outside and it was dense. I wish I could pull off the vid and post here because it will make your mouth water. I'm not a fanboy of anyone, but with that vid, I could see how someone could become one! LOL!
That brings up another question I've never really thought about. We all look at the trichomes on the exterior of the bud to judge maturity. Do internal trichomes mature at the same rate and stage as exterior ones?
With no personal experience with any of his strains currently, but I do have 5 Purple Kong that I'll pop one on my next grow with two Meph HBSS, I'd be willing to bet that cross would knock you on your ass!
It's an interesting topic that I've never explored.I could be wrong but i am almost certain i have read multiple times that the inside trichomes mature at a different rate. Outer first then inner.
