I had to go work that out in Centigrade and it comes to -23.
If you spit does it freeze before it hits the ground or does it need to be colder for that to happen?
Come on Sola Trail need his greenhouse up and running again.
BTW Trail would black plastic sheeting on the walls and floor help heat up the green house and maybe get you a week or two of an earlier start?
All that black would surly heat it up a bit but I gues you'd lose that heat at night.
Having said that I have a paraffin greenhouse heater to keep the night time chills from cooling down early season seedling etc.

with my Ascent I need 390 to 400 to get a good hit and not be too hot

once I get into May greenhouse is warm to hot during the day. by mid may to end of may plant time. Key, plant when a warm spell is upon me, I can always cover with shade cloth if too warm, but there is little I can do if weather is cool and dank, low soil temp my germination enemy. A small propane space heater my be doable

Wonder if I'm younger than you? Oh yeah, Galicia! Still the problems we've experienced with Spanish construction no doubt haha, but it does look very similar to the South West in summer. So does Brittany, of course... and both still with language barriers.
