Hey @Mossy,

I see you appear to be the main admin in this forum, so I figured I'd ask you if this was even plausible.

So a lot of Auto growers/breeders, also work on fast photo strains for outdoor, or just to have. A lot of the same stock is used like MOB, Mighty Mite and Iranians.

I've used Iranians myself, and have seen a few other home growers that have also made their own Iranian crosses. Whenever I see this I wonder what their end product looks like? What their phenos look like compared to mine, and ultimately are mine better?

I don't really have the resources or time to setup some type of Iranian or fastflower cup, and to even try to get the other home breeders to show up haha.

In my mind I have another idea, for how we could possibly decide who has the better cross. I think this could be a general Fast Flower challenge, or even individual categories/challenges for MOB, Mighty Mite, and Iranian crosses.

The basic idea would be that the breeders are the competitors/coaches. The growers are ultimately the judges. An example I can think of that would be cool, is have the breeders send the 5 or so test growers, and maybe even the other competitors, a fem pack of 5 seeds. Then the test growers have to germinate at least 1 seed of each pack on 4/20. Then they can grow the seeds in a specific challenge format, or however they want, but they have to use the same style for each pack.

At the end of the cycle maybe even make it like 10/20 or so, the test growers will give grow reports, on how the plant grew, any issues they noticed etc.? Then a final smoke report, and a final judgment call on which was better.

For the testers, I don't think they have to be the best growers. Like I would love to see a noob grower growing one of my strains in a 5 gallon bucket on his/her porch or something. They would have to be somewhat trust worthy and would have to agree not to use the pack for breeding unless given explicit permission from the breeder. That way no one's using the contest to pollen chuck on someone's unreleased gear.

Because the growers aren't really the competitors, I think it'd be cool for the breeder to get to coach a little. Since the breeder should know what their plants do, and the grower gets the best advice. Obviously the grower can totally disregard any advice/coaching.

If this isn't plausible, I would be happy to do some other type of challenge against anyone that has an Iranian or Fast Flower cross they would put up against mine. As long as the challenge actually has a way of comparing the end flowers, and not just bud porn pictures.
