Harvest & Curing Harvesting as the buds look ready, a little at a time?

So I took the main cola off a brother Mendel midnight ride today, but the lower buds didn't look ready.
Clear trichomes and white pistels.
So I elevated the pot to get it closer to the light, any thoughts on this?
