We just call em swirls but family friends from west Virginia call em spud nuts so maybe the same. They sure are good. When u don't tell ppl they're mashed potatoes they usually guess its some kind of marshmallow or something along those lines

I’ve also seen them called “needhams” and “idaho spud bars” ……depending on the region

I saw them in concert at rockfest 99 or 98 at tx motor speedway! Crazy ass concert back when lollapalooza was basically the only big show with bunch of killer headliners!
